Looking at the gap between wheel and mudguards, I would think wheel replacement should be 26 inch size!

I have an Ever Ready lamp that is identical to the cycle ones, but, the clip on the back was to clip on a top pocket/lapel like a dolly peg, so postman could use them on their rounds if needed. They also supplied BEREC labelled batteries [British Ever Ready European Company].

Not my favourite, but a CREST bar . . . a dark plain chocolate covered nougat Mars-shaped bar. Disappeared when sweets came off wartime rationing.

Nice. In the old days of bombsite car dealers, and if it was a car, it would have been described by the car salesman as "a pretty little "moater" guvnor!" Anyhow! a nice looking bike!

"Simples"! as Meercat says on the TV!
tilt the bike slightly towards you and swing your leg over the handlebars. Holding the saddle with whatever hand is nearest the saddle.
