Re: What Would You Do With £170M

I wouldn't tell anybody including my family or friends.I'd make sure my kids were OK but brothers/sister would never know.I have 40-odd cousins. They and all their offspring would soon come out of the woodwork and be my best "friend" .I'd move to a different area. Then nice house,pre...

Re: CryptoCurrency Itts Up

Haven't we had cryptocurrency for years already. I recently purchased Park Lane, and a couple of railway stations. Sadly, when I called in an estate agent to sell them, he laughed . . . I wonder why? Cynic. Me? Never.

Alternatively, you could lighten up, enjoy your cycling and stay out of other peoples lives until they have a real impact on yours.[/quote]

Re: rip off local cycle shop?

"At the end of the day!" Wow. That's an original phase! It's a free-market. You either want it, and the shop has it, or you don't like the terms so you go elsewhere. It would appear cost is not expensive to some people [look at how Harrods, etc survive]. You make your choice and pay the pr...

"Don't you feel a bit ashamed of our country?"

Not at all. It must have something going for it? When I was a child it only had a population of forty-something million. IT would appear that we are doing something right. After all it' is called Great Britain!

In over thirty years I never had any problems with chafing.......and as a bonus, my milk production went ...

Simple! If you never gift-aided a subscription or a donation in the first place, why would you want to now? After all, the option is always on the donation forms even the charity raffle tickets that come unsolicited through the post!

Re: Signs of old age

A couple of months back I was only 72 but since the cardiologist inflicted beta-blockers on me at the end of May I've aged at least 10 years. In the process of "protecting" your life they destroy all the pleasure in it. I've been on a handful of medications since I was 64, Olmesartan, Bis...

Re: Signs of old age

Still cycling at 85, but, only on the machine in the garage. Keeps "erindoors" happy, not too happy about it myself, but gets me a bit of exercise.
