Re: Marin Four Corners Size

That's why I worried about trying the large as well. According to their 2016 chart, I was bang on between M/L. Found this The 2017 Marin Four Corners has received a minor update on the specification. It now features the new Shimano Sora R3000 shifters that borrow the design of the higher level group...

Re: Marin Four Corners Size

18", 19", 20", 21" which I assume translates to S, M, L, XL as seen on other sites. I thought a safe assumption until I read the geometry charts and saw the small frame has a 19" seat tube, the medium a 20" seat tube etc. Am I being paranoid? I think it does translate ...

Re: Marin Four Corners Size

They've changed the website and say a new sizing chart coming soon.

2018 model is different again.
They had the Standard and Elite FC's but looks like only one model now. Maybe the higher spec one didn't sell well?

PM'd back.

Re: Marin Four Corners Size

Hi Entobiker, It's a lovely bike and a lot of bike for the price. Tried a few other brands and they didn't feel right if you know what I mean. This felt like the bike I should have. Not very scientific but oh well :D I'm still adjusting saddle height to get it perfect but probably cause I'm still no...

Re: Where do I start...

Much good advice here. I would also add the observation that there are times when there is value in being 'made an example' by over-officious officials. I can picture my eager young self in my days writing for a local newspaper, gleefully penning the headline: "AUTHORITIES FORCE MUM TO PUT CHI...

Re: Cycling trousers, not tights

The holy grail! Some of the modern fashionable cycling trousers fail my criteria because either a) the crotch isn't seamless (or flat seamed); or the design at the ankle requires the leg to be rolled up (with no way of securing the roll). What I ended up with were some very cheap trousers off eBay,...

Cycling trousers, not tights

As title suggests, I have tights but looking for trousers, not over trousers but ones you wear as per jeans but with cycling fit.
Any suggestions around the under £50 mark?

Thanks

Re: Another legal light topic

If you want to try it for less money, you can have my new and unused one for £3 posted if you like... That would be absolutely tip top Roadster. Can I P.M. you? You certainly can, Metal8 - it's been cluttering up my table for months now and I'm sick of the sight of it! It needs to go to a better ho...

Re: Another legal light topic

A pic of the new brilliant Marin Four Corners with no handlebar space :D Marin front on small.jpg Bit surprised how close those top brake levers are to the stem. I have a similar setup, but there's a 2 inch gap between the top levers and the stem. Still leaves plenty of room for hands on the tops, ...

Re: Another legal light topic

...where the hell do you attach lights to if you have a pannier rack and have up and over luggage when the seat post or seat stays can't be seen? I have a way of attaching any rear lamp to the back of a rack, if that rack has a solid top plate. It keeps the top of the rack clear for luggage. Detail...

Re: CTC Member Benefits

I notice the claim "hundreds of shops" has been removed from the web page. [emoji4] They have this: "discounts with retailers such as Cotswold Outdoor" Is there a list of which retailers? There used to be http://www.cyclinguk.org/files/ctc-shop-discount-list_0.pdf On the 7th of ...

Re: Another legal light topic

It is very interesting about compliant lights. I'd be worried about the thought of a slick lawyer coming in and saying "your lights don't comply guv so you were also at fault" Yes thought's of the Michael Mason case. For the rack, I think I'll either get this http://www.fawkes-cycles.co.uk...
