Re: Harmful 'phone calls

My approach has always to put on a false Indian accent and ask them for their order. This usually makes them put the phone down pronto. It was the same when I was working, when they rang asking to speak to the the Managing Director. We always said thats Mr Singh and he is in the kitchen because we ...

Re: Does phone case/ phone type define you?

My apologies - I had to read that twice... "my lad (was daughter)" made me reread It is impossible to make oneself 100% clear and unambiguous on an internet forum, or other social media. I get it wrong too, sometimes. Something we have to live with. There's no body language or voice inton...

Re: Does phone case/ phone type define you?

IPhone XR in a clear case.
I’ve had iPhones since the first one and they just work.I pass my old phone down to my lad now(was daughter but she’s got her own contact now at Uni)so he has my old iPhone 7s and my older 6s is a spare.
I’ll replace the XR next year and pass this one down.

Re: The Scottish midge

I reject the idea that Scottish midges are more feisty than Welsh ones. Some year ago I had to work in a Welsh conifer plantation on a damp, misty day and the blighters made a meal of me. When I got home my face was so blotched and swollen that my wife was all for taking me to A&E. I wouldn't v...

Interesting Poll on Bikeradar.
Question:-
If there was to be another Referendum how would you vote?
90% voted to Remain.
Even the "I didn't vote for this" brigade at work are now saying "I'm sick of this we should just stay in"

Very little of which I am proud or would want to disclose, except for not having touched a drop of alcohol for 16 years and 4 months - after peaking at 2 bottles of gin/brandy a day. Still very much one day at a time, just about all my dreams/nightmares revolve around drink(ing). Proud of you mate....
