Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

I can't stand the man personally and would not wish this on him or anyone else but I'm a little annoyed that he's been tested is such a short space of time. One rule for "them" and another for the plebs :x Ah well the NHS staff got a clap of appreciation at 8pm last night  There is n...

Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

Quote from Bozo himself:- Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. So from showing symptoms to testing to result in 24hrs :sho...

My advice is if you feel you need to then do so but don't admit to it especially on the internet

Re: Hope Disc Brake

It is possibly siezed which could require a stripdown/clean rebuild. Firstly. Have you tried putting the old pads in then trying to pry it back. Try opening the bleed valve slightly then try to pry it back. Try cleaning the piston and rubbing a bit of Brake fluid on the protruding surface. Sometimes...

Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

Just read on the local plod FB page that they're stopping folk in cars to make sure their journey is essential. Given off licenses are "essential retailers" does that mean that going to get beer is something you'd be allowed to do? It would be difficult I'd think for them to argue against...

Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

I think some of the restrictions make no sense, but I'll adhere to them to avoid upsetting people. That matters now. The problem is when you put an absolute value on something. "exercise ONCE per day" Firstly it's pretty pointless, very few people exercise more than once. (I'm just happy ...

Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

So long as you are not driving to your exercise venue you should be okay. Make whatever exercise you do start from the front door and nobody will get upset. That seems to be the feeling. Why not drive though? I live near a little park, there are 2,500 houses around it - I guess 5000+ plus people. I...

Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

Obviously I admit fanning the flames a bit but I rather enjoy winding up old clocks. So in the midst of all this, with over 100 people dying in this country today, you admit to a bit of light trolling. classy. I think you've missed his point? Anyway when you actually look at it the total number of ...

Re: Coronavirus (aka COVID-19) - just how serious?

From Sky News 2 hours ago for those who dislike figures without source:- The number of people who have died in the UK after contracting coronavirus has risen by 43 to 465. It represents the smallest rise in the number of deaths since 17 March - more than a week ago. But there was the biggest increas...

Re: Free beer?

IIRC some stronger ales,Theakstons Old Peculier etc sour after 14 days or so.I'm not sure if that's 14 days after they're tapped though?
As for sitting in an untapped barrel seems like anything from 6 months to 2 years.
I'm sure the bif brewers will be OK.
