Re: Rebecca Twigg

Always amuses me how threads develop into endless hyperbole and speculation about a subject, it is very sad that Rebecca Twigg is homeless does the forum have to continue to speculate as to the why ? All I can say is she struck me as super nice person when I had a brief chat with her (in '92) when ...

Re: Rebecca Twigg

very sad indeed, to see someone who is/was an icon to many, end up this way. http://cdn.harpersbazaar.com.sg/2016/08/The-Comprehensive-History-Of-Summer-Olympics-Fashion22.jpg lets hope she finds some better path. Truly outstanding athlete. Bears an uncanny resemblance to her great rival Connie Car...

Re: Bike Charity

Seen them, thanks Gaz. I should've been clearer but was hoping someone might know of a local group who put the bikes to actual use rather than flog them on. Bit of a long-shot, I know.

Bike Charity

Be grateful if anyone can let me know of a bike charity within a twenty-five mile radius of Doncaster. I've a bike and assorted bits and bobs I'd like to donate.

Re: Moulton SST -- reasons (not) to buy?

Mine wore out in less than 4,000miles, but since fitting new bushes, hardly a fortnight goes past without me injecting grease into it. I expect it to last more than 5,000miles before it need any more attention. … excepting your attention every fortnight! Not acceptable in my view, but of course I’d...

Re: Moulton SST -- reasons (not) to buy?

In the latest Moultoneer magazine that came through the door I read that they've re-made the "y" frame Moulton. So now Moulton has died, they're running out of ideas so started using ones Alex cast aside... This the one? https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MuF5jZRDePE/W_I8xiopEII/AAAAAAAAas4/5ZYgD...

Is this the same bike as the one advertised on ebay as being a 'Vintage Brian Rourke'?

Re: Made to measure cycling shoes - anyone?

Don't know if you've seen these Italian-made Holdsworth shoes but they're built on a broader last according to the spiel on the Planet X website. Nice shoes to my eye but it'd be buy-before-you-try and you'd have to cough-up the cost of returning them if they weren't suitable.

Re: Made to measure cycling shoes - anyone?

William Lennon cycling shoes are advertised as wide-fitting. I don't have a pair myself but can vouch for the quality of their work boots.

Re: Surly LHT and Nitto Albatross bars - alternative to bar-end shift levers

If you already have bar-end shifters then you might want to consider converting them to thumb shifters. Jtek make a similar bracket to the Paul and at a decent saving too.
