Re: Effect on performance from hormone treatment for prostate cancer

I went through all this two years ago, rest assured all will be well. My energy levels dipped considerably and my running and cycling suffered however now I’m cycling as well as ever.
Good luck.

Re: Oldest Still Serving Panniers/Saddle Bag

As an aside I foolishly replaced my 35 year old still serviceable Carradice Overlander panniers with some shiny new Ortlieb panniers. Within a month my bike ( with those panniers ) was stolen.
Lesson learnt, now my bikes sport old panniers.

Covid 19 cycling safe distance

I watched a programme on CH 4 and was shocked how easily the virus is transmitted by droplets from the mouth. I cycled around Richmond Park yesterday ( roughly a circular route around 7 miles ) alone however being on my single speed I was overtaken frequently by cyclists many of whom who passed me a...

Re: Boris Johnson: Why is a proven liar in power?

We seem to have gone off topic and are now discussing the poor wages of carers in the UK. Let’s not forget how the EU enslaves the poor people in the poorer EU countries; I’m currently in Madeira where the waitresses and cleaners earn around 2.75 euros per hour and take home about 550 euros a month...

Re: What is the point?

I can’t help but think the point is that had you had been less disrespectful to the cop you might have got a better response. Pointing and saying “So are you going to do anything about that” Is not going to bring about the best of anyone. When somebody is rude or ignorant to me I’m afraid I’ll do th...

Is it time to wrap this thread up? We’re going to leave the EU. Can we move on?

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

“OTOH, remain was pretty straightforward. It meant the same 3 years ago as it does now.” Er.......I think not. The reality of the EU over the last thirty years has been more federalism, more political integration all totally out of our control. If we were to remain the next three years that would be...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Parliament voted overwhelming for Article 50 which expires after 2 years and then we leave the E.U. Parliament has been faffing around since then and shown itself to be dysfunctional so loosing a few sitting days of seeing MPs further faff around is no loss. They’ve had 3 years to sort it out. The U...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Project Fear 2016 was mild compared to some of the outlandish predictions contained in the two previous pages - Deportations, watch towers and barbed wire reminiscent of the German concentration camps in Europe in the 1940 have been forecast however the UK is not going to descend into fascism simila...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

And so, yes, all over now bar the wailing and gnashing of teeth that will follow no-deal crash. Invest in barbed wire and watch tower manufacturers and ammo and small arms suppliers.[/quote] Steady on. Maybe a few cans of corned beef but I think barbed wire is a little over the top. Remember the fea...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Bercow should be condemned. For what's happening now? Bercow was merely trying to protect Parliamentary privilege and the role of Parliament. That's his job. Whereas Boris is trying to assume dictatorship. That's not his job. But not surprising that Brex**iteers are grasping at straws. The Speaker ...
