I use tech t shirts usually running race ones.
Unless it's almost warm enough for a short sleeved jersey I'll wear one as a base layer so I have the pockets to use for tools phone jacket etc.

Re: Brakes too Powerful?
Yeap if a gigantic tractor is coming the other way there will be three skid marks..rareposter wrote: ↑2 Jul 2023, 3:24pm That photo doesn't show why there are skid marks though. Maybe they encountered a car or something...? It also doesn't show anything about the bikes - maybe they weren't on discs at all but still managed to lock a wheel on panicked braking? Or possibly it was a couple of MTBers skidding intentionally?
It's a bit of a stretch to look at 2 skid marks and go "disc brakes are too powerful"
Agree with the comments above - the modulation and control on my road discs is incredible. There's loads of power but it's all delivered in a very controllable and consistent manner.

It's a butted tube so perhaps 0.5mm thick - easily done.

Re: New Shimano CUES groupset
Imho
it's horrid and I hope it doesn't come to road bikes.
I'll be keeping my 9/10spd bikes running for many years to come.
How will the different speeds work?

Re: Bigger tyres/lower pressure that much more comfy?
I go from 25mm to 28mm comfort assured!
Going to 40mm will give you much more comfort at the expense of speed!
Dropping down a wheel size you want to go up in width otherwise your pressure will go up!

Look at tailfin racks expensive but designed for this situation.

I'd write to the managing director,
Press department, and the logistics director.
If a missive comes from high up it's likely to be acted upon.

Re: What difference does an "expensive" bike make?
What sort of riding are you wanting to do?
Road, touring, gravel etc.
How far do you want to ride?
With what luggage?
Then with your budget you can decide what bike you want?
Steel alu carbon titanium....
I have a bike for each day if the week...
But it often isn't the fastest most expensive bike I reach for.
My most used bike is the worst carbon bike Cannondale have built. But it's comfy, dependable and robust!

Did 100 miles to the F of B at new year.
Rode to dunslop bridge and up the trough of Bowland over the summit and turned round knowing that if I got to Lancaster the train would be too tempting!
Got a sausage in a roll at dunslop bridge on way home!
