Re: Flat Bar Road bike with Disc Brakes+Clearance for 40mm tyre?

Thanks for suggestions, a Boardman Hybrid pro in mint condition appeared (maybe done 150miles) for £265 today. Carbon Fork/seatpost, alloy frame ,sram rival 2x10 gears, decent hydraulics. Of course I got it. 9.5kg , in my frame size, seems like it will easily take ~40mm tyres. Can't really ask for b...

Best Quality Bike RepairStand for £30-£60?

Had a look on ebay/amazon, tons of very similar models there, all of them looks like made out of cheese with reviews stating that everything just brakes on them. I really despise poor quality tools ,so Not entertained by the ''good value for money'' junk Lidl stuff as well. Is there anything in this...

Recommend Fast&Comfortable 28mm-32mm Road Tyre for Hardpack?

The bike I got comes with schwalbe marathon plus 25mm, The ride isn't the nicest when you hit some hardpack paths or bad tarmac nor is rolling resistance. Can anyone recommend some good tyres that are suitable for very light off road (bad tarmac/ hardpack paths/very light snow) has got excellent Rol...

Bought £1700 Carbon Bike - Now scared to use it.

Got a mint (except few stoneships) Scott solace 30 flat bar road bike, came up locally for a good price. I'm used to 15kg BSOs in past which I could trash & abuse ,leave barely locked for days and loan to other people without any worry. How do I even ride this thing? It rides so good & smoot...

Schwalbe Supreme VS the New Schwalbe X-One Speed?

the supremes are nice tyres, light, one of the best rolling resistances in its class, but not much offroad grip, nothing much came close to them before. https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/tour-reviews/schwalbe-marathon-supreme-2016 https://www.schwalbe.com/en-GB/tour-reader/marathon-supreme.htm...

Did some Hard Maths On What Gives the Most SPEED Gains

I wasn't able to find the exact numbers anywhere, just articles saying -- better, worse... which is totally useless so I did my own. I will try to keep this short, I have 3 sheets full of calculations but this is to sum it up: -If you ride slow around 15km/h a Tyre change from OK tyres to great tyres...

Carbon Forks - How much Comfort? VS Cheap actual suspension.

I have 2 cheap front suspension bikes ( they are there cheapest junk suspensions there are...) However, they are miles better in comfort than a bike I have access to which has no front suspension. I hear people talking about the carbon forks and that they provide vibration damping and all that stuff...

I'm considering purchasing another property and moving somewhere down south as Most of my clients are from there and It's really soul crushing having at least one whole-day commute per week. Suggest a Good Hybrid with Very Upright Comfy Position?

What would you suggest be the best stuff I could get for circa 500-900?
-Is lightweight and nimble
-Large tyres
-Very upright position, I want it to be a cruiser -relaxing to drive bike.
-Front suspension would be a huge bonus.
