Re: IPhone Software Update - Now A Charger Is A Disallowed Accessory?

I@m having the same issue - my iPhone 6 os 12.2 is refusing to charge with SOME of my third party cable, SOME work ok and all official apple cables work OK. I'm sur eit's the cables as I've swapped chargers, and they all work with Apple cables. Just another Apple trick to keep you in their eco-syste...

Re: Healthy snack bar

I make my own energy bars / balls using this recipe - https://cyclinglabs.net/home-made-energy-balls but roll them in dessicated coconut to make them a little less sticky (plus i love the taste of coconut)

Re: Bike cameras

Some of the GoPro clones are very good - I personally use this one from Amazon and am very pleased with it - https://amzn.to/2XKaaYI . There are a couple of things to be careful of though. 1. Battery life can be an issue if you're riding for more than a couple of hours, so go for one with interchang...

Re: Favourite tea shops

Came across a new cafe stop a couple of weeks ago - if you're in the Basingstoke area at any time check out House28 in Sherfield on Loddon.

Be warned though it's a vegan cafe, so you won't get a bacon butty or sausage roll however the cake selection is outstanding.

Re: CBD oil

I've been taking a 6.4mg CBD oil capsule daily since Christmas and I've noticed two immediate differences: 1. Less aches and pains in general and definitely better post-ride. 2. I seem to sleep much better - as a 30yr insomniac I still have a relatively short nights sleep at 4hrs but it's better qua...

Re: Charging my phone whilst riding

The outstanding product has to be the unit from Busch & Muller here - https://amzn.to/2UT4RnJ. Not exactly cheap but very good.

Alternatively the Kemo M-172N https://amzn.to/2HZfcNh is an OK unit but not quite as good, hence the cheaper price.

Re: Rear light to clip to saddle bag?

I should imagine almost any light will have some sort of mount for attaching to a saddle bag loop. I bought a set of see.sense 'Ace' lights at the NEC last year and they have a bunch of mounts including one for a saddle bag loop, and are without a doubt the best set of tracer lights I've ever used. ...

Re: How to seat a tubeless tyre?

+1 from me on the Airshot - I struggled for a long time with the same problem and a chance conversation with a cycling colleague he recommended one. Now that I've used mine a few times I wouldn't be without it. You can get it from Amazon for about £48 ( https://amzn.to/2S6F22q ) which is a bit price...

Re: Bike Workstands

I've been using one of these ones I bought from Amazon a couple of years ago and found it pretty good - https://amzn.to/2SJhsIY Have used it with Steel, Alluminium, and Carbon frames with no real issue - the only bike that caused a little head scratching was my Brompton due to its unusual shape fram...

Re: Lewis Hamilton- discuss !

Firstly I'd take issue with your first sentence, professional cycling isn't about selling bicycles, few cycle manufacturers are rarely tier one sponsors of pro teams. Pro team sponsorship is about corporate (global) branding and Team Sky is a good example = Team Sky aren't interested in cycle racin...

Re: Lewis Hamilton- discuss !

It is a nasty loud aggressive dangerous business that glamourises taking risks and going very fast, plenty of drivers and spectators have died in "accidents", there is a lot of connection to driving on public roads, sponsorship to promote sales of vehicles This comment is true of any spor...
