Re: Ebike insurance

I’m with LV , no problem with adding ebikes. Have used Pedalcover before. Only changed because LV were cheaper for what I need.

Re: Waterproof for long downpour

Paramo ! I have two coats ,one for hillwalking and one for cycling. They are both excellent, only need washing and ,occasional, reproofing.
Had mine over twenty years ! Keep meaning to get a new one one but there’s nothing wrong with the ones I have :D

Re: Cannondale Ebike

I found the same problem with websites,it’s better to speak to someone though you do get different answers depending who you speak to ! When I booked a trial run at Evans the guy said I could have a couple of hours ride, then when someone else phoned to say the bike had arrived ,I checked and he said...

Re: Cannondale Ebike

Glad to be of help ! Bought mine from Evans in Sheffield. They were very good. You can take the bike out on the roads for half an hour which is better than the usual ride round the car park. They had to order my size ,so had to wait a week but that was no problem as I had a holiday booked in Snowdoni...

Re: Cannondale Ebike

I have a Neo 2. Bought it in June last year and it has been great. Did a lot of research into other makes and drive systems, and shortlisted two; the Cannondale and the Bianchi Impulso. However I couldn’t get to road test the Bianchi,so gave up on that despite having Bianchi lust ! Tried the Neo and ...

Re: Carbon forks on my Croix de Fer

Hayers is spot on I think. You will only know by comparison. FWIW I have a crois de fer30, steel frame and forks and it is much more comfortable than my other two road bikes which both have carbon forks. One has carbon frame , t’other aluminium. But of course they are all different ,so shouldn’t real...

Re: Leg over

At the risk of being accused of things relating to grandmothers and eggs ................... I just lean the bike over as far as necessary ! Obvs not too easy if laden ! I have also ,when recovering from an op. which restricted movement a bit, laid the bike on the ground, stepped over it and picked i...

Re: OBREA GAIN D40 (e-bike)

I was going to buy a Gain ,partly because of its lowish weight ,but mainly because it looks like a 'normal' bike ! However I came to the conclusion (reluctantly) that it didn't have the range/power that I need. (Dickey ticker) So, I bought a Cannondale Synapse Neo 2 . It is heavy but this seems imma...
