Re: Why do certain subjects appear to be forbidden on this forum?
Would the banned subject on the forum be a function how they are critical of policy or operation of various orgainisation.
Would those orgainisation be more reflective of their kinship group view if the powes that be who forumulate , direct and operate those actions were more open to debate on a open forum?

Social media death to letter pages
With the increase in social media has developments in society in general and particuler areas of inerest in general shown a decline in the quality of debate in printed matter and as result there as been a decline in the level of knowledge and understanding by the population in general?

I have been told by a TMO that the speed of lights change is based upon the speed limit of the road.

Let me get this right, if you force members to vote for somebody they do not like or have no confidence in, this proves that the members have confidence in the voted in trustees and the choice of the nomination committee?
From the perspective of the Nominations Committee who wrote the electoral procedures there are eight excellent candidates* and the Members can have complete confidence that they would make fully capable Trustees.
I'm not sure it will have crossed their minds that a Member might not have confidence in their selection process .
*Whilst the NC have made it clear that all eight candidates are excellent candidates they have also outlined their firm belief that some excellent candidates are more excellent than others.
That is assuming that the process by which the trustees on the nomination committee were elected to the CTC Council/board of trustee was in itself enjoyed the confidence of the membership.
Noting that at least 2 of the nomination committee secured their seats without opposition whilst one trustee election was subject to formal complaint due to possible electoral irregularities.
There was suggestion once that the chair of the nomination committee should be independent from outside the CTC/CUK. That was drop and instead the chair of council was appointed as chair.
It does say above that the chair of the board agree to step aside from the nomination process as they were up for re-election.

Good idea but do we have enough information to go on.

They may anyway.
Thanks for clarifying my question gaz.
The truetee can only appoint up 3 trustee onto the board the remainder must be elected acording to the AoA.

The "shop" section of the website has a different look to the rest, possibly part of the new website project. Eagle eyed Members will note the lack of a Winged Wheel in the page footers.
Is the lack of the wing wheel an error or decision to distance CUK from it historical past?

Please not one candidate had much longer endorsement than the others. I do wonder who was on the nonminations committee and if CEO influence the outcome. Have we seen Dan in action at the AGM how do you rate his performance?

There are 4 vacancies & you have 4 votes. I have been told that you have to use all 4 votes or none of your votes will count!
I have & will continue to challenge this as I believe it is undemocratic. Four of the candidates 'meet the specification' set whilst the others don't. However, if I only want to endorse 3, for example, I have to cast my final vote for any to be counted!
According to Sue Cherry, with whom I've be swopping emails "The process for voting in any election are not contained in our constitution, rules and administration processes relating to elections are agreed by the appropriate committee. This procedure has not been changed from other years."
I have asked her to escalate the matter!
You state that this election process was undemocractic, where does it say on the Cycling UK website or statements made that CUK is democractic?
The membership has given their rights to influence the direction of CUK away. The board of trustee know what is needed they have greater insight and abilities than the normal member they just need you to rubber stamp their choices.
