Re: Temporary traffic lights - inadequate time for passage

locally we`ve had lights on a steep hill for ages, fine when I go downhill, but have the same situation when I`m riding home from work..either I have an idiot revving his engine to make me go faster,or people driving at me....

Re: Fixed for the first time

I used to ride a fixed back in my youth! Raced did audax events too!haven't tried it again til recently.........cycled to work one day and frightened the life out of when the chain came off on along down hill,I'm back on gears now.my issue is its hilly to work....so the gear was too low for the downhill bits and to for the uphill bits....

The charger looks the same as this one, no? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00D ... 4PPJZ8PBAZ

Some people will pay more for peace of mind and a UK warranty, but the fact the charger has failed anyway doesn't inspire confidence in the more expensive product either.

Thanks will try that one, even if the charger doesn't work the light will!

In terms of finding anything cheaper you need to look at the info on the charger.

Matching the input should be simple enough, matching the output could be trickier (xV, ymA). If you can find something with the same output details it will also need the same socket fitting or you'll need to purchase/make a suitable adapter.

Seen the USB ones don't suppose they'd be any good...

tumble and fall battery charger

my battery charger seems to have given up the ghost from my `tumble and fall` lights I know I can get one from Evans or other stockists for about £40 but is there anything that`ll do the job cheaper? :( one upside is my commute is getting lighter now the days are longer :)

Re: Suggestions for a Better Cycle Network

cyclepaths not the token white line on the side of the road :(
maintained paths,so you can actually ride in them not try and avoid overgrown plants and car passengers rubbish
we can dream....... :(
the lighting bit would cost way too much,I like riding in the dark

Re: Thinking about a fixed

do remember one club ride charging down the hill around Truro and not being to slow for the roundabout at the bottom where the bike overtook me!
you do have to concentrate on a fixed and make sure the chain is in line and not too slack but you need a bit,so you can do those `trackstands`!
