Last year I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and am now on a 6 session chemo regime, I have been cycling for about 45years and need to get back cycling again, as yet I cannot lift my leg high enough to get on a mans bike, I am an experienced cycle mechanic so can sort any problems. I have tried a ...

veloche brake hoods

on my winter bike I have veloche 10 speed levers, they are about 8years old, the right hand lever hood has split. I have looked on some webb sites but there does not seem to be any hoods specifically for veloche.
Has anyone any advise on what hoods would fit and also how to get them on.

Re: raleigh 20

The problem is my daughter in law has a strong sentimental attachment to this bike so I don't want to change to much, also she has a high opinion of my abilities (undeserved) so I really need a new bush as I don't want to bodge it if I can avoid it.

I am sorting a Raleigh20 (non folder) for my daughter in law.
The nylon bush on the top of the head tube needs replacing, can anyone tell me if/where I can get a replacement?

Re: How to cycle like a Pro' ?

Its interesting to see the last stage when the riders were cruising along ,chatting and laughing on a very wide road that some club riders on the other carriage way were trying very hard just to keep up!

TdF time trial

I watched the TdF time trial today, the teams go to huge expense in money and time to gain every possible aerodynamic advantage, I noticed that a lot of the riders had standard biddons , I can't understand why a fully hydrated rider would need a drink over an approx. 20 mile time trial given the ext...

Re: DIY shed alarm

Regarding the replies about criminals I couldn't agree more, my 25 year old grand daughter fell into the clutches of an abuser (via facebook!!!!!), he did unspeakable things to her as well as being a major drug dealer, the police told her he was one of the most dangerous men the area, she has now be...

Re: rechargearble tyre inflator

I am sorry hamster has taken such a dim view of my request, I suppose the mechanics I saw using them at the world cyclo cross event in Milton Keynes a few years ago were all disabled in some way.
