I just have an email address which is given to all retailers such as these. It my "junk" email address and is never opened. Saves a lot a "spam" clogging up my in-box.

Taking into account the type of cycling I do, fairly short local rides, I have little need for lycra. Instead I wear a Paramo Reversable Shirt (winter); Tudor York Jacket and tights. For my needs they are more than adequate. Were I to graduate to other types of cycling then lycra would be a consider...

There also the option of going London to Leeds or Manchester Picc and then Burnley. Downside you need to cross Manchester to Victoria Station. Run by Northern Rail and Have experienced no problems with a cycle outside of the rush hour. They are only hourly though. Nice ride round Pendle to Clitheroe...

Plus I do not think motor vehicles were allowed in those days. You had to arrive under your own team. Mind you folks just parked in the nearest car park and walked a few yards to the hostel.
