Recumbent. A gadget?

Just rolling along on my trike and a roadie passes saying "a nice gadget!" before I could respond he had shot up the road. I regard my trike as transport. At what point is a bike/trike just a gadget or transport? Is your Recumbent a gadget?

Re: KMX Koyote

I have one and really like it. It can fold, not that I have had need to yet. With a set of kojack tires it goes like the clappers. I got mine with a slightly smaller chairing as it is hilly where I am, and I am not so fit. The first few had dodgy seats. Barry at KMX sent a new revised seat free of c...

Re: Head-rest suggestions for Whike trike

It was always a fear, but I was lucky not to snag it, especially that day I went through a forest track. Trees were the bigger concern. Once I was going up a sustrans path and I was thinking that the squirrels were very active this morning, then I realized the sail was snagging on the branches ...Oo...

Re: Head-rest suggestions for Whike trike

The Whike Headrest, I never got around to sorting that out. I did try to fit an ICE head-rest but it was too short, and would need extra padding etc, so don't try that. In the end I just lived without it. Sadly, I no longer have a Whike, If I did I would have been out last night scaring the chickens...

Re: Visiting Hotels and B&B with a large trike

Thanks everyone for your replys. Scholl hols make for a hectic time. I plead guilty to owning a Whike, it is a lot of fun. As recumbents go it is a little more noticable, which is not always convenient. Only a few days ago I made a detour through a housing estate and was chased by some very excited ...

Visiting Hotels and B&B with a large trike

I am thinking of venturing out a little further on my rather large trike. What do you do with your trike? As a rule I do not let my trike out of sight when out and about. I can remove the sail and mast which make it slightly less noticable.
