GRX chainset.

My wife's road bike has a 34/50 11-32 Ultegra 8000 drive train. The smallest gear is still too big for her so I'm wondering about changing to a GRX 30/46 chainset. Also from 25mph and upwards she freewheels so a reduced biggest gear will not be an issue. How compatible is the GRX chainset with Ulteg...

Re: Cycling as a whole; losing the plot...?

Yes cycling is very expensive but I'm spending the same percentage of my wage as I did in the 1960's.

Re: Chain joining.

In times of old the pin was simply an interference fit in the outer plates so could be forcibly removed and refitted. Now the end of the pin seems to be slightly peened over so is much larger than the rest of the pin and the hole through which it sits. When you now drive out the pin the hole is enla...

Re: Tubeless Kojak

I'll assume that someone knows this pain already, I've been trying to convince a 559 Kojak to run tubeless for over a month with Stans, lately tried Orange as well. It spent a few nights on each side, and now I've been riding it every day, but it needs to be pumped every day, sometimes twice (40-50...

Re: Do you get water inside your BB space.

Its a De Rosa Debs and the cables always remain hidden inside. I don't have a drain hole (yet), it looks as though you do even if you cover the large hole. Thanks for amusing but still informative reply.

Do you get water inside your BB space.

I have a carbon frame with internal cables and notice that water enters via the front derailleur's cable hole just above the BB. Only a table spoons worth but it means the cable sits in water and rusts. I have an access panel on the downtube so can see inside clearly. I'm going to fill hole and cabl...
