Re: Is it just me?

It used to bother me that a few and only a few did not wave or say hello back to my greeting, now I tell myself I am not important so why should they?

Cycling home from work today I noticed much more traffic, mostly cars and this is in Wales remember where people are still supposed to stay at home?

Re: Front Page of Cycle

if you keep the mags for ten years and then read them you will find that they have matured into a more readable state, this works well for all mags you can now buy.

My sqealing brake fix

I work as a housekeeper/cleaner and on the way to work about six weeks ago my front brake started sqealing like a pig! before I came home I cleaned the rim and blocks with a 'magic sponge' I use them on all sorts of surfaces in work where chemicals shouldn't be used, You just wet the sponge and rub away, they are abrasive. Since I did this I have had to clean the wheel a further three times but it works long enough to be a worth while fix (at least for me) I now even carry a bit of cut up sponge with me on the bike.
here is a link to the same sort of sponges I have.

Re: Anyone found the roads less busy and/or motorists driving better?

Cycling from work today I noticed that because there is less traffic the speed of the traffic that is on the roads has gone up, which it will if you think about it?

Just or fun and interest, these mags have a cycling section in the later editions from about 1941 onwards and some times other articles on bikes.

One wink?

Lately I have noticed when a car over takes me they indicate once to pull back in, one wink. Even when there is no traffic coming the other way I get one wink, are they saying thanks for letting them past or is it a way of energy conservation to let the indicators only wink once?

Re: TV licensing...

I don't have a tele but they have granted, yes granted me a two year period of not having a tele and then after two years they will ask me again if i still don't have a tele,
its very kind of them.
