Re: Samye Ling / Eskdalmuir

Yup, well the patronising is too boring for me to engage with so I'll leave it there.

Hopefully the ranges are a success.

Re: Samye Ling / Eskdalmuir

The ranges are already in use and cause no issue.

I hope they get both approved for use and I and many I know will continue to well use them both. They are great facilities and will be further developed to ensure they continue to be good neighbours.

That area is very popular as a target shooting hub. People travel form all over the country to shoot there.

I also visit the monastery and cannot see this being an issue.

Just for info, there is a huge amount of deer stalking going on in this area on a daily basis as it is a huge forest. The shooting folk hear isn't always a range.

The last time I stopped at the cafe was 2019 and four camouflaged men came in. It’s not only their vehicles which are large and their presence was completely out of character with the place.

Charming.

Planet X 365.

Wear them all year and they are brilliant especially as they are cheap as chips.

I've just spotted this. nearly burst out laughing.

The word you are looking for is Manslaughter.
You're made up word is nonsense. As is your assumption that you could be charged with anything for beeping a horn. Cars do the same every day.

Re: Bells

I have an awesome Crane brass bell and use it.
I'm always amazed at the folk that take umbrage to me pinging at them, as if I'm throwing a stone at the back of their heed to move them out the way.

People are stupid, and seem to be on the offensive all the time these days.

Hope you're not planning to buy a bike !

They have some stupid crappy excuse for not sending to the UK on their website, but it smacks of a euro****.

Define 'normal' clothes, what's normal to you isn't the same to others is it?
And actually so what if others choose garments to wear that are different for similar activities, why does that even matter to you and indeed others so much?
Some people who wear one type/style of garments aren't wrong because some other people wear different garments for something that might not even be the same thing aside from astride two wheels.
I wear my cycle orientated gear when I'm visiting friends, even gone to meetings/conferences in it, I see it as normal every day clothes that suit best for what I'm doing.
I find the negativity and looking down the nose attitudes to others choices very tiresome, it's always the same people who have a narrow view on life and can't accept others choices without having a pop or snide dig!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry.

It's called having a joke mate, grow up and try joining in.

If I was buying a Galaxy it would be a 20yr old version.
If companies start replacing quality goods with cheap replicas they should expect that item to have a very finite lifespan.

Re: Disagreement with AGM resolutions

I'm not a member.
Let me start by stating that.

if I was joining a cycling club/organisation I would expect them to promote cycling.
There are other bodies that promote environmental causes and they should carry on doing so. Cycling bodies, maybe not.

Promoting tourism and all the benefits it provides using cycling as a tool to do so should be promoted.
Try telling an Indian villager who relies on passers by to provide income that cyclists won't be back as flying is bad sounds a bit crap to me.

Re: Bob Jackson's shutting up

I certainly wasn't being smart.

If there are that many making bikes surely they could find someone willing to train as a bike maker. ( I never suggested a fully operating frame builder would want an apprenticeship lol, that would be stupid haha)

I'm not trying to slight them in any way, but I'm sure they could have found someone if they tried.

Re: Bob Jackson's shutting up

Given the amount of young frame builders around the UK at the moment They could not have tried very hard to recruit staff to carry the company forward.

You can't move for hipsters building steel.

Starting a sentence with "So"
Calling a drawer a "draw" is worse though. (Look on Gumtree for a chest of draws)
