Re: Platypus wine "bottle"

The first one last about 4-5 years. The cap was starting to get a be fussy. Since most of our tours are 2-3 months at a time we feel we got our money's worth.

Re: Platypus wine "bottle"

We are on our second one. Used them for across the US , Canada, and Europe last year. We sometimes draw a bit of attention outside the store when we buy our wine ad uncork the bottle to transfer it. Especially at 10 in the morning!!

Re: Bike Bag idea??

Thanks for your reply.
Yes the snagging is something I was wondering about. Maybe I could form a few handholds with some stretch wrap. Since I have the idea over wrapping the whole thing!
I will probably have a job unpacking in Helsinki!!!

Re: Bike Bag idea??

OP here with another question/idea. Last year we used the mattress bags, with extra padding, on our flight to Europe. Is was quite easy to pack up the bike. But one "glitch" was handling the "package". The counter person had to take it to the inspection area and was having a chal...

Bike Bag idea??

I recently saw on a thread a link about making a "cloth type" bag for the bike for transport. Last year we flew to Europe via Iceland Air and used plastic mattress bags. They survived the trip but TSA slit them open for inspection. The link http://europebicycletouring.com/Commentary-advice...

Google Maps

Today I was doing a bit of route planning for part of our upcoming tour. I pick a few cities in Czech and put them in Google map. Stated there was not cycle route available. Plugged the same cities into Cycle Travel and bingo! A route was created.
So what gives?

Prague bypass route??

Wondering if anyone has a route suggestion for "missing" Prague? Since we have been there before we thought we would take a pass. We will be coming vfrom the east on EV 4 and continuing on EV 4 into Germany.
Looking forward to your suggestions!!
Thanks

Re: Newcastle to Heathrow?

The answer to these questions are- Yes we will be touring in Europe for 3 months. Thinking if we extend it we can "jump" over to the UK, because of the 90 day limit, then fly out of Heathrow. Did not know about that other ferry and will check it out. Hills? I laugh at hills!!!
