Re: Silca Rises from the Dead
I got my local leather worker to cut me a couple of small discs of leather when I need a new washer, she did them in a couple of sizes as the old one was difficult to tell just what size it was, Then I soaked it in oil for a bit and fitted it, been working for about 5 years now. I had to fit a new head as the sealing rubber in it was worn out and I couldn't find one on Silca spares list so I got a cheap one and its been OK for ages.

Re: Dropout Repairs - Old Fashioned Engineering...
I had the same problem on my Argos 753 frame, I tried all sorts of QR skewers but still had a problem, in the end I bought a Surly Tugnut not the prettest solution but hey it works great, the only down side is it takes longer to remove the wheel, a small priceto pay when compared to having to stop on hills because I pulled the wheel over, yes I know try going uphill in a lower gear you say, but hey thats the way I climb.

A long ethernet cable will sort you out a treat. no worries about wifi as you wont be using it all the time just coil it up till next time you need it.

I fell in on my way to work once me and my mates thought it was funny.

How do I vote in advance? going to the voting site only gives me the choice of proxy or chairs vote after putting in my codes.

Crosso, I have a set and think they are brilliant. Same quality as Ortliebs but a lot cheaper.

Re: Best touring rear hub for use with 8 speed cassette?
For touring Velo Orange grand cru, as you don't need a cassette tool if you break a spoke on the drive side, it just comes apart.
