Thule Bike Carrier

Hardly used - to my eternal shame - Thule cycle carrier. Fits a Nissan Micra (1993 - 2002) but may be adapted for other cars(?).
£15 - please collect from my house in Chorley, Lancashire.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

I've recently bought a Viscount Grand Sport which is a sort of yellow/brown/gold colour. Shimano 600 gears, Weinmann 610 brakes, mavic rims on unbranded hubs (with very rusty spokes - need to get them rebuilt) which I was very surprised to find had cartridge bearings. The rears are good but front h...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

The Sport did well at my local clubs 10 mile time trial last night. Managed to knock 31 seconds off my PB with a 28:41. :-) By eck, that was a great effort Kev!! That's flippin flying 8) . Thanks for letting me have a go on your bike at DFR2. With those tubs on the bike absolutely flies - easily th...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

I too still have a lot of work to do to get my bikes looking decent for the rally. They're still going to look awfully scruffy compared to all those on last years video! Can anyone suggest a way of getting my death fork more shiny? It's got rather a lot of oxidisation(? - pale flecks) through it at...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Hi Viscount and Lambert lovers! Just a reminder that the Death Fork Rally this year is on Saturday 28th June. Please let people know, and put it in your diary. Last year was great fun and everyone who came had a jolly wonderful time. The venue this summer isn't confirmed yet but it will hopefully b...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

The Cane Creek ones seem good. I have just put a pair on Dura Ace 1st Gen (non-aero) levers and they are fine. A good fit and not too difficult to get on. Having some difficulty with the GrandBois site. Pictures look interesting, but I don't read Japanese so navigating the site is a lottery. Intere...

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

Oh, I'd like to keep my levers. There's original and therefore need to stay. I only ever brake with them when going slow, or in 'emergency' when I don't have the time to switch positions. If they snap (which they tend to, I think) then at least I've got a bit of brake force, whereas with switching ...

That bike is a '78 Viscount Aerospace Sport. I'd stake my life on it, especially having stripped, cleaned and rebuilt one just like it!

Re: Viscount bicycles!!

I really need to catch up on some posts. Busaste: that Pro is gorgeous, but I'd be too much of a tight ar** to fork out 175 for it when I've got one here for 60 quid and 100% original. :-) Can't argue with that! Here is another tho just to tempt you: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Viscount-Aeros...

Blimey, that bike looks good! Nice morale booster :)

The 'deerhead' RD is worth a few bob too. What more could you want?!
