Re: Chain degreaser

what lube are you using? This may affect the choice of cleaning agent. Gunk and Jizer were/are the engine degreasers of choice for many years; just brush on, then rinse off. These days there is more choice; I think Mick F has been using the basic degreaser from screwfix in his chain cleaning gadget...

Re: Vitamin D - how much?

I took 50,000 iu of vitamin D3, combined with K2 and magnesium over 3 days to fight off a chest infection. It worked after the second night. Vitamin C in huge amounts is also quite effective in powdered pharmaceutical grade quality, the only down side being that you have to take it to bowel toleran...

I think it's something to do with the way capitalism works. It never made much sense to me.

Re: Mech hanger availability? Time to stock up?

But I have to ask, what is it you are doing with your bike that you think you will need so many? I seem to bend them at least once a year. Either I drop the bike (with heavy panniers on the back), or someone "mistakes" the cycle parking area for a trolley park, and rams a shopping trolley...

Re: I dont want a Big Mac

Britain’s Best Burgers What is the etiquette for eating them? A couple of years ago I was in San Francisco and ordered a burger and fries in a restaurant. We were sat at a counter by the kitchen so the cooks and the waiters were moving about close to us the whole time. When my order arrived I attac...

Re: Getting the bikes to Penzance

Just booked myself and my bike from Chester to Penzance for the outrageous sum of £35.95 leaving Chester at 8.19am and arriving Penzance at 4.10am on Monday 16th March. PlusBike said the only section I needed to make a bike reservation on was from Bristol to Plymouth and a lady at GWR did that for ...

So, ten years ago, or more someone called Graham said.

"Edit Graham : Note that you won't get a nasty computer virus if you click on the link. It would otherwise go to company Pro-Bike-Kit. They have tried to spam the forum in the past. I have rewarded them with an auto-replacement."
