SOLD: Cannondale CAAD8 54cm, black, "Hand made in USA"

Black Cannondale CAAD8, probably one of the last "hand made in USA" models from 2008. Aluminium alloy frame (size 54cm) from a maker noted for their excellence in this material. In generally good condition - cassette was changed a year or two ago to a Shimano Tiagra 12-32; most of the rest...

Re: GPX onto iOS - apologies for my stupidity.

Thinking again, if you're not wedded to a particular iOS app, you could look at one that can sync routes directly from an associated web app - I'm thinking of RideWithGPS or Komoot; doubtless there are others. That way you would avoid any need to to go through the download/open prices that seems to ...

Re: GPX onto iOS - apologies for my stupidity.

it's a 4S I've got. Running iOs 9.3.5. I think that might be your problem right there. Apple iDevices have only recently (latest iOS I think) gained the Files app, which lets you store arbitrary files - before that, handling files was between a total pain and impossible (normal Apple "walled g...

Re: Climbing

I used to have a Ciclosport HAC4 which, given total weight of bike+rider+load, would tell you whatever wattage you were developing. Obviously it took no account of wind or road surface, and the figure it showed was probably inaccurate but it was consistent, and for climbing mountains it was great. ...

Re: Getting into cycling

As long as you're comfortable that you're not developing any injuries or other health issues, and you're coping physically, and most important, enjoying being out on your bike, you could look at increasing your distances by anything up to 5km at a time, or a bit more if you're confident. Once you're...

Re: ...if the Hampton Loade ferry carries bicycles?

Thanks everyone. It looks like those two bridges (SVCP and Arley) are my best options.

...if the Hampton Loade ferry carries bicycles?

Hi, Hopefully the title says it all... I'm trying to put together a route around Bridgnorth and wondering if the pedestrian ferry at Hampton Loade will carry me over the Severn with my bike. There's a shortage of bridges in that immediate area... Edit: Come to that, is it even operating at all these...
