If all of the UK gets to vote, the moaning Scots will be thrown out of the union and good riddance.

Low frame/step through bikes?

I have a friend who can no longer safely get on his Galaxy, so he's looking for something where he doesn't have to lift his leg over the saddle. Can anyone suggest a suitable alternative to the Galaxy, with a step through frame, probably as a second hand purchase. All options are being considered, including folders, though there will be no requirement for folding.

Re: Jeremny Vine a road rage victim

Is this what it's like in London? I've looked at the comments sections below articles about this on a few news websites and it's scary how many people have sympathy for the woman and suggest that JV was hogging the road. A lot of education is required and this can only help.

She needs to be taken off the road before she kills someone.

Tandem on a bike rack?

Does anyone have experience of carrying a tandem (the larger size Galaxy Twin) on a Thule 9503 rack, with the wheels off, obviously?

A rack like this: http://www.tweekscycles.com/Product.do? ... 2wodAsIPAA

Sounds authentically like something made by Gloster or DeHavilland.

Re: Autistic Quotient

Haha - nice photo. Just been looking at my old school reports; same comment over and over, year after year 'he's intelligent, but he won't work unless it's something he wants to do.

Right, off to count and catalogue my paperclips now!

Echo W1 computer fault?

This, since I changed the battery, is over reading by at least 50 %. The wheel size is set correctly at c2155 (700x32) and I know the fault is not being generated by the magnet or the sender - transferred it to another bike with the same computer and proved that the fault is in the display unit. This seems a bizarre fault to have, as electronics usually either work or not, but to have a gross error like this seems unlikely. Should I give up and throw it in the bin?

Re: SUSTRANS chuggers

OK, didn't mean to offend and I know that it was started by volunteers in Bristol, long ago, but isn't it now a vehicle for the spending of government money on cycle infrastructure?

Re: France - which bit?

Thanks very much for those comments - any more gratefully received. We're looking at going to SW France, south of Bordeaux, west of Toulouse, not on the coast. Three years from now.

Can anyone recommend a good online map for planning cycle routes?

Re: SUSTRANS chuggers

Thanks. And is sustrans funded entirely by charitable donations? Is sustrans budget relatively small, such that only finances an administrative and campaigning function, or does it actually have enough funds to finance cycle path building?
