Re: Call for a national cycling ban.
There is a case for excluding bikes from areas where people walk ,such as pavements etc. but who would enforce this ruling ?As an interest group they should focus on positive action for the blind rather than negatively impacting the rights of others.

Re: Made to measure touring bike
Gas pipe is copper and cannot be expected to perform well in a bicycle. A plumber would never make such an ill-informed remark..

Re: What's the issue RMT union has with it's own cleaners?
A union with 80000 members effectively asks each to pay 3 pence a week to fund their leader's pay. A pay rise of a penny a day will fund the payment .I would gladly spend a penny to get an effective leader .In fact there can be few more enjoyable ways to spend a penny, legally.

Re: Which road bike?
There will be a range of bikes similar to the Cannondale, and if buying used bikes ,it pays to be flexible .I would suggest an audax bike ,with a steel frame ,which will be versatile and cope with the wet.

This is similar to the scandal where the council sold properties to Tory voters.

Re: A story about fear in UK society
The police can cope while protestors are a weird minority but soon all types will pile in and overwhelm the authorities. You can only imprison a small fraction of the populace.,

Re: Sunak-cultural influences
Sunak is rudderless and is being poorly guided by his Spads. Jilly Cooper has several novels far better than Riders. Sorry if I come over as a snob. but I like "The Man who made his husband feel jealous"

Suggest you seek out disused railway lines, and canal tow-paths.|It might help if you explained how your autism affects cycling eg balance ,route-finding safety etc

Sunak-cultural influences
Apparently Sunak named Riders, by Jilly Cooper, as his favourite book-frightening. What does this say about his personality ?I understand his favourite LP is George Harrison's All things must pass ,while his wife likes Strange Days by the Doors.

What a shame, as there are often funny remarks on such topics. Charles could do 5 years and abdicate so William could have one-cant wait.
