should politics be banned on the forum?

[moderated]

Politics should, and must, be banned across the forum.

This forum is quickly turning into a nasty place to be and I will no longer be posting on, or visiting, this forum hereafter.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

You certainly could but did you?
I never did.
After being ripped off for almost £100 years ago yes!As soon as it landed in my Paypal anything over £10 was transferred to my bank.
From the PayPal website:

“How long will it take to withdraw money from my PayPal account to my bank account?

Please allow 3 - 5 business days for your bank to process the transfer and for the money to appear in your bank account.”

In effect little has changed except eBay send you the money nit PayPal.

It implies nothing of the sort.
It is well known that:
1. Immunity diminishes over time
2. Vaccines aren’t 100% effective
3. The COVID vaccine had reduced the number of hospital admissions in event of people becoming infected
4. The vaccine does not prevent someone transmitting it to others.
What is less clear is how quickly the immunity given by the vaccine diminishes and therefore a booker is now being offered to certain groups.
'.I don't recal them ever stating that the vaccine will just be a temporary fix?
Again I have not said or implied that.

Re: Covid Booster. Yes/No?

Listening to the wrong stuff? Really?

I’ve been reading the regular briefs supplied to me both in my job within a health board and from Scottish Government.

That is not what we were lead to believe by the Govt and their advisors!
Where did I say it was a waste of time?
You stated 'becoming infected and a burden on the NHS' this implies that the first two vaccines don't work.Or don't work as well as we were lead to believe?
Please clarify.
It implies nothing of the sort.

I find it difficult to believe that a chap of your years who's travelled the world has not heard of Ry Cooder
I wonder who else you've never heard of
Willy Nelson?
Hank Williams?
Dean Martin?
Frank Sinatra?
Bob Dylan?
Elvis Presley?
Ella Fitzgerald?
Louis Armstrong?
Ed Sheeran?

I’ve heard of every single one of them except for Ry Cooder.

If, however, folk want to behave like that on a forum then so be it. Just leave it on the forum and don’t take it away with you into the real world.

Re: should politics be banned on the forum?

I don’t post in any of the political forums, primarily as my political leanings are at odds with what appears to be a majority here.

Happy to let those who want to debate to do so as it doesn’t impact where I choose to post.

Difficulty in buying food on line

Mrs Syd placed an order at around 8pm on Saturday for a Tesco delivery between 7 & 8pm Sunday.

Everything arrived, no substitutions.

Can’t get better than that.

Located in Edinburgh.

EDIT: Location added.
