Not used drum brakes before and happy with mechanical disc brakes, plus they look better.

Re: ICE VTX 2019

First ride out on the new VTX, a bit more flighty at high speed than the old VTX. Descending Strawberry Hill the old vtx would be rock solid at 50m.p.h I had to back off a bit at 47m.p.h on the new one. Did quite a lot of climbing today, I needs a bigger cassette for the big hills to match my other ...

Sorry belgiangoth no it's not for sale, I'm going to keep the mudguards and rack on and have it as a winter come shopping trike. The new one is getting delivered today.

ICE VTX 2019

Anyone out there got the new VTX, just ordered one. Would like to hear what you think of it. I have a old one about 6 years old, looking forward to see if there is much difference in how it ride's.

I made a light bracket out of an aero bar extension. I've also drilled holes for bottle cages with out a problem on hard shell seats.

Re: Is this the place to discuss Tandems as well?

A pair of roller skates and a bungee cord will do the trick, and a lot cheaper.

I'm in Durham, riding a ICE VTX and a Performer Cantus. If anybody is around this way give a shout out.

Re: Turbo Trainer with KMX Trike

I've not had a problem with that, all what I can say is I've tried 2 or 3 turbos and none of them are as good as the rollers.

Re: Turbo Trainer with KMX Trike

Rollers are no way near as bad as turbos on the rear tyre, not sure what you mean about scrubbing. If you were thinking of using a turbo tyre wear shouldn't be a issue on rollers.

Re: Turbo Trainer with KMX Trike

No not really, I've not had any problems just plonk the trike down and off I go. I use the Elite E-Motion rollers witch has 3 settings of resistance, and with the gears on the trike it will keep anybody happy.

Re: Turbo Trainer with KMX Trike

You don't clamp the dropouts so there's no flex through the frame and it feels more like riding on the road.

Re: Turbo Trainer with KMX Trike

Rollers with resistance setting is the way to go.
