Re: Gravel Bike
I asked roughly this question on another thread. The replies varied between yes and no.

Re: Help with what happened today
Just a reminder. The previous "I need help post" was this: I once met another cyclist who was an otherwise intelligent person, good job on the council etc, and he reckoned cyclists didn't need lights at night because there is no legal requirement for a bike to have lights fitted - he ofte...

Re: Funniest clean joke I've heard recently
I think you're just a little confused. For example, when we had the BLM history was not being rewritten or people judges out of time. History was just being acknowledge, possibly for the first time. Not rewritten but written. When we condemn the British slaughtering people in in India or Kenya, tha...

Re: Who's had the vaccine?
Whats the evidence that the government refused guidance and who was giving the guidance? All sorts of experts appear on tv often giving conflicting advice. Was it that the guidance they were given was incorrect? Or, did they ignore the guidance they were given? Are some of the population to blame f...

He wasn't very 'woke' though and nearly took a job as 'Negro driver' on a slave plantation... in another 5 years will Burns Night be allowed? https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4JVKtsvq0TRyfgD0PQ05C7J/how-could-robert-burns-have-considered-a-career-in-the-caribbean-slave-trade#:~:tex...

Re: Who's had the vaccine?
Making errors, sometimes even huge ones, in a situation we have never before encountered is unsurprising, human and entirely understandable and forgiveable. Making the same errors time and again and expecting different results is incompetent. Steadfastly refusing guidance whilst continuing to boast...

Re: Funniest clean joke I've heard recently
I always think it a pity when Burns poetry is limited to a short quotation on Burns night. He was a powerful poet describing social issues and environmental problems. He wasn't very 'woke' though and nearly took a job as 'Negro driver' on a slave plantation... in another 5 years will Burns Night be...

Re: Funniest clean joke I've heard recently
Story alert! :D Not long after marrying, we moved up to Rosyth, Fife. Moved there summer 1974. I was 22 and Mrs Mick F was 18. Both of us are Lancashire people and had no idea about Scotland or the Scottish way of life. One evening, we went to a nearby village for a couple of drinks at a pub. It ha...

Re: lockdown - anyone been arrested yet?
I can't help wondering who all these people are who are travelling around the world and coming to Heathrow from S America and S Africa, apparently in their thousands.
I am not able to travel to my next nearest village which is just across the border.

Re: Swytch-e-bike-front-wheel-conversion review
Might I ask if these kits respond to applying brakes and changing gears? On mine the motor switches off momentarily when you change gear or apply the brakes. Seems an important safety feature You can choose to order brake sensors which cut the power when braking. However, the power delivery ceases ...

Re: Who's had the vaccine?
Hi again, The E.U. Health boss has come to the conclusion that as the E.U. countries have failed to obtain vaccine supplies for their own use, so now have decided to move the goal posts to prioritize the vaccine for internal E.U. use? If that means they invalidate legally agreed contracts that sure...
