Hi All
Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but anyway....
I juts got a quote from teh cycle to work scheme as an employer for one of my employees. He wants an electric mountain bike to come to work on.
The bike is £ about £2500 ( including VAT)
He has been quoted over 12 months payments that just about exactly cover the £2500 and of course these are made before tax and NI deductions.
However after the 12 moths the payment quoted for him to own the bike is £834. I haven't worked out teh numbers to the last penny but this seems like a bad deal to me.
Has anyone else used this scheme

Re: hebridean cycle way Bike transfer
We are doing the Hebridean way in May but don't have time to get all the way back in time and our car will be in Oban so what we are doing is this.
Park Oban sail to Barra. Do our cycle trip and on the return leg we are flying with 2 bikes from Stornoway to Benbecula ( they allow 2 bikes per flight) then cycling back down to Barra for the sail back to Oban. This saves us about 100 miles.

Re: New E Bike Purchase
Just had a trial ride on the Crosspath and very impressed indeed. Motor is smooth as silk and the deal on offer at Halfords at present makes it a very good buy especially with and extra 10% discount for British Cycle members

Re: New E Bike Purchase
Just looking at Halfords and still liking the look of the Crossfuse ( £1600) BUT the Crosspath is on special at £1280 and comes with mudguards and pannier rack and still uses the same Bosch crank motor.
I think I need to go have a test drive of the unisex Crosspath

New E Bike Purchase
Hi All
New Poster here. I am hoping to buy a new ebike on the next week or two and have read so much that I have gone round in a few circles I have to say.
Anyway I am looking for a tourer type bike and think I have decided on a Carrera Crossfuse crank driven bike but I also found a Cube crank driven bike for the same money that has a stand rack etc
I also like the look of a haibike touring model too but that's out of my price bracket
If anyone has any words of wiosdom or has a Crossfuse I would wlecome any thloughts
Cheers PF

Hebridean Way on a Mountain Bike
Dear All,
New poster here. I am hoping to do the Hebridean Way with my son this year. I hope to be OK as a fat lad on an e bike but my teenage son is determined that he can do this in 4/5 days on his Canondale mountain bike. Would anyone be able to offer any thoughts / tips especially if you have done this bike ride before
Cheers PF
