I spent a few days touring around Sutherland a couple of weeks ago. On and off I have been cycle touring around there for 25 years. I have a hack commuter bike set up with a right-hand sti 10 speed lever and a conventional brake lever and friction bar end shifter on the left for my old Sugino triple chainset. It is quite a satisfactory arrangement, after the initial rub belly/ pat head phase :)

They repaired my Exposure Blaze Mk1 and were very good to deal with. Glad I didn't chuck it away.

Unfortunately I came off last week, though no serious damage done. The feeling of the front wheel going while gravity instantly makes your acquaintance is terrifying. It has unnerved me a little. I was amazed when a teenager nonchalantly cycled past me no handed while I was sorting myself out.
