Consider where you will be leaving it each day you commute. There is a lot to be said for riding a tired looking old bike if it's left somewhere unsecure. I would also support the low consumable cost approach. Commuting bikes rarely get the maintenance attention that weekend bikes get, mile for mil...

Is there any need to check a gpx route? Lets take two methods 1 somebody rides a route with GPX device the route is recorded and then printed off . 2 somebody plots plots plots the same route on a pc and prints in off. 3 somebody generates the same as above but keeps it in gpx format. That rear brake cable routing is poor. It would be better to use a pulley wheel brake hanger if possible

I also heard Cambridge Cycling Campaign and London Cycling Campaign are no longer members due to the cost of membership fees.

I enquired on other thread about the correct solvent to use for chain cleaner WS was advise but my bike lives in my living room, what about the smell?

Also I see many people reuse WS allowing it settle out in a jar. What about using filter paper speed things up, but what grade would you need?

I have not read the entire thread, but I know the Conservative Party in trying to recruit more younger members, but I would have thought removing retirement benefits would be vote loser giving that it the older person who tends to vote conservative in elections.
