Re: Would you take a vaccine against CV? Vote now please!

Can anyone explain why a vaccine that needs to be stored at -70c and is apparently ruined if it isn't but if it gets injected into a 37c human being it somehow works? Anyway in case you missed my warning below here it is again because apparently 78% of you want it. The vaccine mutates the DNA that c...

Re: Shimano 105 Rd7000 - adjustment problems

The barrel adjuster is the problem, buy a third party or older style shimano one.

Re: Would you take a vaccine against CV?

The vaccine mutates the DNA that controls hair. It replaces your head hair/facial hair/old man ear hair/nose hair/eyebrows/eyelashes/body hair/leg hair/armpits hair etc with PUBES  . Its a conspiracy between big pharma and big grooming. Think how much money they're going to make from selling ...

Re: Triple Deore mech on double chainset?

The cable routing is better on the T781, the T8000 routes the cable over a knuckle leaving a little bit of slack

Re: Replacement for a Deore XT M772?

My experience of the wear in shadow derailleurs is the cable arm sinking below the H limit point and play at the pulley cage as indicated in the video below (not my videos). I bought my m772 used and it only had play at the pulley cage but it broke after overtightening the main body spring grub scre...

Re: Replacement for a Deore XT M772?

I use an Alivio M4000 with SLX M662 inner plate (18g lighter than the steel Alivio plate) and ultegra 6800 pulleys 246g. M772 is 227g, M662 is 262g.

Re: 'Resin pads only'

RT62 in 160mm works with wide or narrow, saw it in one of the compatibility charts 2005 I think, I bought a pair for £12NOS when my rt54 wore down to 1.5mm. I have m395 brakes with Noah and Theo sintered pads. Screenshot_20201006-132532.png As you can see m525 and other b01s pads are compatible with...

M530 SPD Spring Tension Bolt broken

Since the day I got them M530 (new about 3 years ago) the left pedal tension wouldn't adjust on one side, now I know why. I took my pedals off to add some grease (clean as a whistle inside) and removed the clipping mechanisms to clean them when I discovered the broken bolt. IMG_20200718_201702219.jp...

Re: Bottom Bracket for Touring: Shimano BB-ES300, octalink

I had one of these, now on my mum's bike (68x118) with a M430-8 chain set. It's lighter than the older ES25 and ES51, has a chromoly axle instead of heavier boron and has surface treatment. I didn't like the square taper I had before due to chainring wobble and I'm sure I could feel squareness. The ...

Re: Shimano MTB 10spd and 11spd actuation-ratios identical after all?

I'm guessing they are going to use 2 cable grooves on the cable bolt 1 for 10 speed and 1 for 11.

Re: Shimano MTB 10spd and 11spd actuation-ratios identical after all?

In the same press release they unveiled new Alivio M3100, the shifters no longer have 2 way release like M430 and M4000 and have under the bar gear indicator, it's basically a redressed Altus M2000, the rear derailleur also looks like the M2000.

Re: Deore XT T780 hubs

I am pretty sure that is not the case; shimano don't even own up to the RH part of the DH assembly coming apart, leave alone that you should use it for adjustment purposes (*). IME every disc brake hub allows access to the LH cone and locknut once the disc is removed, be it 6-bolt or centre lock ty...
