Re: CUK supports BLM
Let's be honest, this not an honest attempt to have a constructive dialogue. Actually it is. Racism, in any form, is not acceptable. However, favouring one group above another is discriminatory. I state again, we are all humans and should be treated as such. The BLM campaign itself is creating divi...

Re: CUK supports BLM
Imv BLM is not favouring one group (black people) over another. It is a reminder after centuries and right up to date that too often - even institutionally and sometimes as in S Africa and the US by statute until recent times - black lives have not mattered. It is about equalling. All lives matter ...

Re: CUK supports BLM
So Cycling UK have just done a statement on Black Lives Matter. https://www.cyclinguk.org/news/black-lives-matters-statement-cycling-uk They also posted this on Facebook which caused a storm, but I thought I would open it up here as many aren't on Facebook. Why did they need to make a statement on ...

Re: CUK supports BLM
Oh no - not on here as well! Let's be honest, and controversial. The statement 'Black Lives Matter' is, by definition racist. Labelling using a specific term implicitly excludes those that a are not mentioned. Surely 'All Lives Matter' would be far better. What about Asians, native Americans, Aborig...

Re: Best electrolyte tablets?
I've struggled to find a good electrolyte drink. After a lot of trial and error I use SOS Hydration. No, not SIS. It is an excellent product and it works really well for me. I'm diabetic and very careful about sugar spikes. Yes, the drink does contain a small amount of sugar but that is vital to ens...

Re: SRAM Apex 1 not downshifting
My Apex 1 is on the way back to SRAM under a warranty claim. The gears in the middle of the cassette work fine. Problems seem to revolve around the extremes of the cassette. Get two lowest gears to work, the two highest don’t. Get two highest to work, two lowest don’t. Also, decent bump on back whee...

Re: What Smartphone / GPS for touring UK/France ?
Hello
I've cycled in France (Provence and Languedoc) using an iPhone and Ride With GPS. Never let me down! Best to plan your routes on a computer beforehand but it can be done, with patience, on the phone.
