WOHO frame bag

Has anyone experience of this ? I mean the larger of the two WOHO frame bags. A few retailers sell it, but there are no reviews. It looks useful, with a 9 litre capacity and makes use of the entire frame triangle, though drink bottles would have to go elsewhere. Thinking of using it in conjunction w...

Re: partial knee replacement

Cycling long miles might be intense on the artificial contact surfaces. Is it reckoned that cycling could wear out the surfaces more rapidly than just 'normal' walking, or am I barking up the wrong tree ?

Re: malaga to santander

Great travelogue.
But I'm somewhat inclined to suspect that Mrs Whoof is not a genuine name.

Re: lubricating headset

You're right brucey. Prised the unit open a bit with a watchmakers screwdriver and persuaded some grease in. Might last me through the winter now. Fitting lizard skins.

lubricating headset

Hi Headset was feeling a bit grindy. So I removed the forks and sure enough the top and bottom bearing sets seem dry and rusty. There will be more life in them yet though. In the bottom bearing set the balls are exposed and I can readily grease them. In the top bearing set though the balls are enclo...

Re: hydro disc brake shifters - some gripes....

the filler hole for the hydro fluid is right at the back of the shifter close to the handlebar. Its not possible to pull back the rubber hood enough to access it. I think in the early models it was near the front of the shifter.

Re: hydro disc brake shifters - some gripes....

Thankyou fryer I don't have the technical ability to cannibalise bits from other shifters unfortunately. I didn't keep my previous failed shifters. Switching to a bar end shifter would be a temporary fix. In fact, I did this on the left hand (front) on the very same bike, after that broke, and still...

hydro disc brake shifters - some gripes....

I' m still a fan of hydro brakes in spite of this..... I've had a couple of shifters in the past that have had to be scrapped, but due to failures on the gear cable side rather than the hydro side. Expensive. Gripe 1: This time I've experienced a fairly rapid failure on the hydro side where the leve...

feels like a stiff link, but.....

...that annoying 'click' you can sometimes feel through your transmission, caused by a stiff link skipping on the pulley and which often recedes with time or lubrication. I've got this happening now - but - I've run the bike on a stand, felt each link, no sign of stiffness - chain is still good, not...
