I have an rrp proguard. Mounts onto the fork bridge and keeps all the crap off barring a few splats. I also have a Topeka rear guard that clamps on the seat post. Works a treat in winter

That's a great idea. When mine was stuck I just gripped the but you put the peg spanner with mole grips and gently drilled out the Allen key side so it removed the head and I was able to push it through. Didn't have to drill far as the head is quite thin.

Wow some interesting answers. I had a bike for years that i commuted on daily and never thought to change the chain once. Now im more into cycling, i like to keep them as well as i can. Cassette question

Hi all,
I have heard that you should change the cassette every 2 chains assuming you change the chain at the recommended point of wear. Is this right or do you generally run it until you get chain skip?

I would like to hear people's thoughts on this.
