Re: Leyzne pump for Brompton question

@Brucey - thanks re HXP pump rec. the longer version HXP - i think that's the one people like as it can be mounted length of a cross bar (?) also it doesn't seem to be hose type - more like Brompton generic type (not sure of technical terms) I'm beginning to settle on the idea of a Lyzne medium size...

Re: Leyzne pump for Brompton question

@Gattonero - it's useful to have this view about small pumps. Brucey's warning which i'm sure is valid to an extent seems to right-off all Lazynes. As previously stated - this is intended for emergency only.

Re: Leyzne pump for Brompton question

Any small pump will take a long time to inflate your tyres; literally hundreds of pump strokes with some models. If your pump is going into a bag which you carry, and you want to use it regularly, then you should buy the biggest capacity pump (with HP capability) that you are prepared to carry. che...

cheers ! :)

There's a couple of off topic posts between myself and steelframe - is there any chance you could delete those as they don't belong in this thread ?

Hi reply PM provided - a request to remove the copyright stuff and make the post view able again if poss. I'll revisit the post and make necessary amends to the content if copyright removal leaves it looking odd.

cheers

Re: Dutch-made Brompton telescopic handlebar stem

@PT1029 That's a good question. My intention was to convert an H type stem so the telescopic bar rises to the height of the top of the m type handle bar which is attached. (155mm) So that wouldn't raise the bar above the max height. If i went any higher it might only be by about 30-50mm so not a hug...

Re: Converting Brompton standard 6 speed to twist gear handles

Hi I'm just returning to this topic re: switching to twist grips on a current 6s brompton 1. Can i use a 3sp S.A. twist shifter on both the left and right hand ? https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/gear-shifters/sturmey-archer-twistgrip-3-with-inner-wire-tss34/ I've been advised that i can use a friction tw...

So the brake handles with easy cable release could work. my handle bars are vintage shape : https://www.ergotec.de/en/products/lenker/sub/city-trekking-lenker/produkt/toulouse-bugel-25-4.html Can anyone recommend a break handle which will attach o...

Re: Switching handlebars: Solutions for quick cable interchange

thanks - There are some interesting suggestions. 1. I agree middle burn oilers don't look viable. 2. But what about the ' plain ordinary outer joiners ' ? They look like a budget way of possibly achieving my aim or am i mistaken ? I can't seem to figure out what one is tho. Is it : a) 1st image here...

Re: Switching handlebars: Solutions for quick cable interchange

hi - thanks - applying you're thinking : These are the 3 different handlebars https://www.ergotec.de/en/products/lenker/sub/city-trekking-lenker/produkt/toulouse-bugel-25-4.html and H & P type: https://www.bikefolded.com/brompton-s-m-p-h-type-handlebar-differences/ The sizes are quite close but ...
