Re: Ribble

Agree that "in stock" is misleading as it implies stock is ready and waiting. It does seem that every other industry is suffering with stock- not just cycle stores. We had double glazing started to be fitted on June 11th, there were problems and now the UK apparently is out of stock on win...

Mind if I ask what you paid in total? I really like the look of it and it’s got rave reviews.

Re: Carbon vs Aluminium at the £1500 mark

I've had my R872 disc for 10 months, and it's a great bike. Fortunately i ordered during the sale last year, so managed to grab Ultegra and ksyrium elite wheels for an absolute bargain. It's my first carbon bike and certainly has more punch than the Boardman adventure bike which it replaced. The bik...

Re: Boardman ADV8.9 freehub- model?

Also found, which looks like it.. https://www.jejamescycles.com/bontrager-ssr-select-super-stock-rear-freehub-body-enl3671.html But yes, seems a trip to Halfords is in order. Bike is 15 months old, only done around 3000 miles. My other thought was getting some of Phil Wood Tenacious Oil, to see if t...

Boardman ADV8.9 freehub- model?

The freehub on my Boardman ADV 8.9 is nicely seized, and despite two emails to Boardman customer support they've failed to respond in two weeks. I've managed to get some movement back by removing a seal and jamming some oil down into the semi sealed bearings, but it's only a temporary fix. Anyone kn...

Re: FDX Sports cycling clothes

Been using their gear for a year now.
All good, sometimes have to size up, but their customer returns process is easy.
