Re: D Tek still in business?

I think as long as you look at cost per mile, then the buying cost can then be put in to perspective. If all you are going to do is a few hundred miles then anything is expensive. If doing a few thousand every year, the initial costs start to look small (per mile). I'm not saying get the most expens...

Re: D Tek still in business?

.......and in the USA I know they sell a recumbent trike there for $800. One thing I did learn is that buying cheap generally means you get cheap. There will always be exceptions though, but that is why it is a general rule! If you view the cost of buying on a cost per mile, then buying cheap doesn'...

Yes, there are cheap trikes you can buy. They most definitely are not ICE, or Catrike, or HP, or GreenSpeed though.

Re: D Tek still in business?

So, basically he is after a top trice for a lot less than half price (by the time you add all options). Yes please :) Can't see anyone selling at that price unless there is something wrong though. If you want a well made trice that will last and do the job I would start with a Budget of at least £24...

Not been out for a long time. Was going to this morning, but it decided to get wet. Will have to get out tomorrow. Riding mine 6.7 miles each way to and from work 6 days a week, as well as everywhere else in between. All alot more comfortable due to the fairing that Ben gave me (can't thank him enou...

http://forum.ctc.org.uk/userpix/2030_blackburneh2011369zoom1_1.jpg I run with 2 of these all the time. Rarely do any night riding so flash mode on to be noticed, especially in the shadows on country lanes. Have a 3rd rear light fitted which is also a reflector for night riding.

Guys, let it go please. Neither of you is looking like convincing the other of your way of seeing things so I don't think that any future contributions along these lines is going to do anything other than add to the acrimony or misunderstanding. I don't want to lock the thread but if this argument ...

It's my misfortune to treat all respondents politely. David had left. Like Frank Sinatra. There appears to be a point I'm missing, the one David seeks so enthusiastically. It's likely to be that I'm bad, he's good, recumbent bicycles are the pinnacle of human progress and their riders the very salt...

OK glueman, so you refuse to accept my POV or discuss it. That does not surprise me. Again, read the title of this thread. I am on topic as far as that is concerned. In my eyes, you do discriminate. You happily label people and then lump them together as if none are capable of individual thought. As...

In my world it's still okay to say certain things look odd. It's an emotional response I'm aware is conditioning, prejudice, preference, etc. Riding a recumbent bike, unlike race or gender preference, is a choice. None of this has anything to do with vegetarianism but you've chosen to depict me as ...
