Faulty Track Pump

I've had a Joe Blow track pump with a dual head for several years. It's developed a fault, in that when I'm inflating a tyre with a presta valve, air leaks from the schrader side of then head.

Any ideas what has happened and how to fix it?

Thanks

Keith

Will I be wasting money?

I'm 61 and returned to cycling after a 20 year break. I'm still riding my 1989 Orbit 531C and have a budget of £4k for a new bike for riding sportives next year. I was thinking of buying a Ribble Endurance SLR Disc with Ultegra Di2 components. Given my age and aspirations, is the bike too high-spec ...

Side pull brake adjustment

Returning to cycling after many years away, I'm setting up my 1989 Orbit for tomorrows ride. I have a problem with one of the rear brake blocks rubbing on the wheel rim. I've followed videos on adjusting the type of brakes I have (side pull with centre pivot) but when I set the brake up, the arm on ...

Does it continue when you freewheel down a hill?

Yes it continued when I was freewheeling.

Is it one click per rotation of the wheels or one click per rotation of the pedals? Does it continue when you freewheel?

Jonathan

It was one click per rotation of the wheel.

Advice on where to look

I gave my bike a thorough clean yesterday and on today's run there was a clicking noise I've never heard before. It seemed to be coming from the front wheel but when I got off and spun the wheel there was no noise. I then suspected the derailleur was catching on the chain but when I checked this at ...

Re: What will we look back on from the COVID crisis: Positive, Amusing, Frustrating

Naturally my rowing club is closed during the crisis, so with nothing else to do on early Sunday mornings I dug out my 1986 Orbit 531C and am absolutely loving riding again.

Replacement shifter

I have an old MTB with Shimano STX RC groupset. The front mech shifter has seized and although I've cleaned and lubricated it, it will not function. Therefore I'd like suggestions on a cheapish replacement.

Thanks
