Re: Graphics expert anyone?
I've no idea why it posted one of them twice, there should be only one of each.

Gas Canisters in The Netherlands
Does anyone know if I can buy the screw on gas canisters for my Soto Windmaster stove, in or near Schiphol airport. I’m heading over in July to do the LF Zuiderzeeroute and would ideally like to pick one up on the first day.

Re: Pictures of your tents.
Ah yes, how did you get on? I think the last time I saw you was at Foyers on my last day before Inverness.Jumbosausage wrote:I'm pretty sure I was on the pitch next to you. There was two of us. Me in a Terra Nova and my mate in the Vango.
We then bumped into you a few times on the road over the next couple of days?

Re: Jumping new chain and buying a replacement cassette
doffcocker wrote:gregoryoftours wrote:Yes either of those are compatible and suitable. I'd go for your second option - I think that the Shimano cassettes are better quality at that price level, and there is very little between the 2 on price. Edit: by the way you'll need a few tools to swap the cassette over unless you take the wheel to a shop in which case they'll probably charge you about £5. You'll need a Shimano compatible cassette removal tool, a large adjustable spanner and also a chain whip.
I'm finding it quite hard to find whether removal tools I'm viewing are Shimano compatible or not except where there are reviews by people stating categorically they found it wasn't.
This pack for example seems quite reasonable, but it doesn't state one way or the other if it's fit for Shimano, although it looks to me as though it comes with a variety of fits. Would you agree it seems safe enough to gamble on?

I bought that set last week and it doesn’t fit my Shimano cassette, I bought a cassette removal tool from Halfords that works great.

Re: Wobbly Crank/Bottom Bracket
Thanks Brucey
I’ve tightened it up and the wave washer looks a little bit squashed like it should. It hasn’t made the drag any more noticeable. I’ll pick up some spray lube and give it a spray to see if that makes any difference.
Thanks for the research Gaz.

Re: Wobbly Crank/Bottom Bracket
Hi Gaz
I don’t think I’ve over tightened it as I only took it to 20Nm before backing off a bit. I’ve also not used the bike since I tightened it. The only info I have on the bike is the spec on the website https://www.merida-bikes.com/en-gb/bike ... -urban-300

Wobbly Crank/Bottom Bracket
There was wobble in my crack/bottom bracket, https://vimeo.com/467070897/66ed6bf91e

so I tightened up the central part with a 10mm hex, which stopped the wobble but made it spin less freely (so I backed it off a bit.)
Is this the correct way to stop the wobble, or is it something to do with the outer ring with the 6 holes?
