Re: Cleats for Dura Ace PD 7410 Pedals
Hi both, thanks for the replies. As you say Gattonero, it's just a case of getting the correct pedals as everything else on the bike is 7410. Just a bit of BS I suppose, I'm happy enough with different types on my other bikes. As these are in good condition and a fair price I'll give it a go! Regard...

Cleats for Dura Ace PD 7410 Pedals
Hi folks
I've got the chance of a pair of the above pedals for a good price to complete a groupset but I only have the "standard" cleats 56 and 51, are these OK with these pedals or will I need 70 / 71s as per the tech doc, which aren't easy to find
Cheers
Iain

Planet X Single Sided SPD Pedals - Any Good?
Hi folks I'm looking for some SPD /flat pedals and don't want to spend a lot as the bike doesn't do much mileage. These are certainly cheap enough, has anyone tried them and if so what do you think of them? https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/PEPXFLF/planet-x-flip-flop-spd-flat-double-sided-pedals Thanks ...

Re: Angle of drop handlebars - how to set?
Best if they clear the top tube altogether I would say.. A few years back I saw someone have a low speed fall on their nice 531 frame, bars came around quickly and put a dent in the tube. I checked mine and they were the same, dropped the ends of the bars a couple of cm!

Re: Plea to roadies....
Sadly often true - cycling along minding my own business I hear a distant shout from behind. I carry on wondering what that was and am soon passed by a pack of clubbies. Do they pass the time of day or say hello? No - the leader of the pack just says "why aren't you wearing a helmet" as d...

The Weatherspoons at Great Yarmouth and Clacton, classy joints full of super intelligent Brexit voters Nothing like a bit of stereotyping! Don't know when you were in there but I regularly drink at Wetherspoons in Clacton and can assure you that there is as diverse a range of folk in there as any o...

Fixing Stick on Soles to SPD Shoes
Hi folks I've got a pair of well used Shimano SPD shoes which are sound apart from the fact that the soles are worn allowing the cleats to touch the ground, has anyone managed to successfully fix stick on soles (suitably cut for the cleats of course!) and if so which adhesive did you use? Thanks and...

Bikes on French Regional (TER) Trains Sorted Thanks
Hi folks
Is it still possible to just turn up and get on a TER train with your bike (provided there's space) ? I'm sure when I did this before a box appeared on the website to say that bikes were carried on this train but that doesn't seem to happen now
Thanks and regards

Terrys Liberator Saddle
Hi folks I've had a Terrys Liberator saddle for about 10 years or so which I found very comfortable for an upright position on my tourer, it's finally given up the ghost and the new model looks completely different. Has anyone got any views on the new type or better still, an old one surplus to requ...

Anti glare screen cover
Hi folks
I've been using OSmand for a while on my old large screen Sony Experia, can anyone recommend a screen cover to take the glare off a bit in sunlight (on the off chance that the sun comes out when I'm in Belgium!)
Thanks and regards

Re: What insoles to buy for plantar fasciitis?
when I had similar issues three or four years back I tried gel insoles, got measured by scholls shop etc, better but not great, went to GP, got referred to podiatry at local hospital who then referred me to orthotics dept where i had some insoles made which were great (and free!) Took a few weeks to...
