We never left work either.
They just put up some token signage and we carried on as usual
As usual there’s a London bias behind the Govts advice.

We did it in 2004 on FS Moutain bikes.Total overkill.
If we were to do it again I’d take the Cyclicross bike.
I would think any tourer/CX/gravel/adventure bike would be just the ticket.
