Re: The Brexit thread
Am I the only person who thinks Wales is a country is like regarding East Anglia is also a country? Well done for demonstrating why independence is increasingly popular for the non-English countries of the uk. out of curiosity ( and I dont know the answer) what proportion of those in Wales speak We...

Re: Warning Dogs And Cows + Calves!
I was walking with a friend and his two Whippets near Magpie Mine,Sheldon, near Bakewell about three years ago and we were chased out of the field by some very aggressive cows. They came the full length of the field as soon as we entered. They weren’t curious they were really aggressive. A couple of we...

Re: irony of selling a plastic cap from China to highlight climate change
If it does the job and is breathable who really cares what it’s made of.I know I don’t. It could be made from harvesting the wings of little fairies for all I care as long as it does what I paid for! It’s hardly “plastic” really!90% of my clothing is synthetic. Why? Because it’s comfortable.I’m sure ...

Re: Tai-chi as a tool for growing old
Tai Chi is basically Kung Fu slowed right down with emphasis on technique and concentration.More or less. I’ve done Martial Arts for 45 years or so and although I don’t practice traditional “Tai Chi” as such I do my own forms of slowed down Karate/Tae Kwon Do. For me it’s similar to Yoga/Pilates. I ...

Maybe the one-posters forget to check back as the “your post will go public once checked by a moderator” may go undetected by them? How many posts does it take before this stops? This will be post no.19 for me and I still have to wait for moderator approval.Sometimes I get a notification to confirm...

Re: Froome out of Tour
No surprises really. Froome and Thomas are not on form.Brailsford wants to win and doesn’t go for sentiment. If Bernal starts the Tour fit he and Ineos will walk it again.Pulling out of the Dauphine is just part of the plan. I’d like to see a Frenchman win it but it won’t happen again this year.Ineo...

Until today I had three but just sold my Carbon bike.
So in the space of 18 months I’m down from five to two.

Re: Shopping on the High Street
What's a suit? I don’t own a shirt or trousers let alone a suit. I have a couple of Polo style shirts but that’s as close to a collar as I get and I rarely wear them.I have no shoes either but I do have a pair of Brogue boots that I’ve worn twice in as many years. Intrigued. What do you wear? If it...

We never left work either.
They just put up some token signage and we carried on as usual
As usual there’s a London bias behind the Govts advice.

Re: Great Glen Way
We did it in 2004 on FS Moutain bikes.Total overkill.
If we were to do it again I’d take the Cyclicross bike.
I would think any tourer/CX/gravel/adventure bike would be just the ticket.

Chris Froome and Ineos both posted this on all their social media pages early this morning.Followed quickly by Cycling news/weekly/Road cc etc.
