Re: Wahoo to strava: Heart Rate Monitor

Been using wahoo to strava for a couple of rides and all good. Got the heart rate monitor yesterday and have only had time for a very brief cycle but no issues with data transfer to strava, and having all the HR data is great. Will be better when I’ve built up at least a few weeks worth of rides so ...

Re: Wahoo to strava: Heart Rate Monitor

I’ve ordered a heart rate monitor from decathlon, arrives Monday so will see how I get on. Will record in wahoo for this afternoons ride and check the data in strava once sync’d. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Re: Wahoo to strava: Heart Rate Monitor

Hi, Am thinking of getting a HRM, a Bluetooth enabled chest strap one, that I would have to record my rides in Wahoo and then sync with Strava. Does anyone know whether going down this route there is any loss in data compared to if the ride had been recorded directly in strava? I’ve signed up for t...

Re: Sigma sport cycle computer - what tyre size

Done...measured the circumference and input into the computer. Will see if this improves accuracy.

Thanks
Mike

Re: Sigma sport cycle computer - what tyre size

My tyres are 622 x 17c. I understand that to be the same as 700c. Is this correct? the 17 is the internal width of the rim, nothing to do with the tyre which will be 23/25/28/32 etc. Ten years ago 18mm tyres were available but I've not seen them in some time, and certainly not 17. On your computer ...

Re: Sigma sport cycle computer - what tyre size

As per tatanab,I think you have the tyre size wrong, the 17 part not the 700,which will alter wheel size and give a false reading. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200801/f77b4cc39b191ddb11b65f311c123607.jpg I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my wobbly bog brush using hovercraft full of eels

Re: Sigma sport cycle computer - what tyre size

Make a mark on the wheel circumferance or use the valve as a reference, mark it on the floor, wheel the bike one revolution of the mark.measure the distance in mm.Enter that into the computer for wheel size. Job done. I've been using Sigma computers for years, they're the most reliable ones I come acr...

Re: Sigma sport cycle computer - what tyre size

Quick 5 mile ride this morning with the wheel size set to 28inch showed a c3% variance to Strava for top speed and distance. Is that difference to be expected on a lower end cycle computer? Plot your ride on, for example, cycle.travel and see what that says. I’m using Strava, so assume that should ...

Sigma sport cycle computer - what tyre size

Hi, with my cycle to work voucher picked this cycle computer up. First use comparing speed, distance, etc to Strava seems not aligned. The spec for my Triban RC500 bike details wheels as 622 x 17c and also 28inch front and rear. I understand that 622 = 700c, and this is what I have entered as the si...

Having trouble ordering via decathlon website. Any tips? Stayed up until delivery slots released at 11pm, and then I finally get to payment page there are no actual options to select from, so can't proceed further

This is linked by gaz in one thread and it's still good stuff https://www.sheldonbrown.com/cra...
