I wanted variable resistance but its not for any sort of training program just to attempt to replicate my usual bike rides which would include some hills and some of them would be challenging but not to the point that I could not get up them
My bike is a Trek Sport 1 and has 21 gears
Saris look good to but maybe a bit over my budget
The trainer would probably only be used once or twice a week in the winter for around a 20kms ride each time
Yes supply is an issue still especially here in Spain
Thanks for your help its much appreciated

Re: Fluid Bike Trainers
From what I have read a fluid trainer as opposed to a magnetic one is much quieter and smoother and less wear on your rear tyres
Unisky are all over Amazon and was a recommendation on Bikesreveiwed.com and UK bestreviews.guide so thought maybe others would have heard of them
My budget is around £200
Will have a look at the Elite range thanks

Fluid Bike Trainers
I am looking to purchase a fluid indoor bike trainer but since lock down many models are not available but I wonder if any of you have any recommendations
I was looking at the Lifeline TT-02 fluid trainer but some reviews stated that there was no resistance when using the trainer I looked at the Unisky fluid bike trainer but its not available to get here in Spain
Does anybody have any recommendations please?

Re: Best 'punctureless' tyres for Hybrid Bike
Hey thanks everybody for some really interesting information and I'm learning a lot from you all
I had never thought about the heat on the tyres previously even though the same thing happened to an old sports car of mine that is only used in the early spring and autumn and left in the sun in the summer because its too hot. I always cover the soft top car up but forgot about the wheels and one year all four tyres had sidewall issues due to the sun melting them, but never thought of that issue with the bike, yes it is covered up and it does have black sidewalls on the current tyres. I will ensure that the when I put the cover on I also cover the wheels.
Will get some normal tyres and see how it goes
Thanks again
Amazing stuff

Re: Best 'punctureless' tyres for Hybrid Bike
Thanks for all your really helpful posts
It seems that the tyres which are five years old may have become thinner due to the extreme temperatures we get here in Spain in the Summer 40C+
The rims and the inside of the wheel have now been thoroughly checked and no issues have been found
I was thinking that recently I had a valve blow out on me whilst pumping up the tyre, I was only at 50psi when it happened and I wonder if that has weakened the rubber on that tyre as its the one that since then I keep getting the punctures
But I will get some new tyres now and look at the punctureless type but not sure how they effect the ride I do about 30kms on mainly roads three times a week although I have to say even with padded shorts it still affects my backside Lol

Re: Punctures
The wheel has been thoroughly checked and all is okay, but I think the tyre has ben affected by the extreme temperatures we get over here in Spain 40Degrees C and higher in the summer and the tyres are five years old and feel a bit thin
also I had a burst valve not so long ago and wonder if that too weakened the tyre rubber so it looks like new tyres and will look at the punctureless alternatives

Re: Punctures
Thanks for your responses and yes I try to avoid getting near the gutters
I did think it could be a rim issue or a spoke on the inside and will check both issues but I also think the puncture resistant tyres might be the best solution, although I don't know anybody who has them fitted but will carry out some research.
No I'm not fixing them myself but maybe I should so I can check all your suggestions myself or I will insist that the shop carry out a full investigation Bit more difficult as I live in Spain and the language barrier can cause some difficulties
Thanks again

Punctures
I have now had four punctures in two weeks and only out on the bike six times and all on roads. All four punctures have been on the back wheel and I have taken the bike to the local repair shop for a new inner tube each time, but am now wondering if there could be something wrong with the back wheel to keep getting these puncture.
Its annoying because I had gone nearly four years without ever having a puncture.
Is there anything I should be checking or would you recommend me purchasing a set of puncture resistant tyres I was recommended these
Bontrager gr1 team issue 700x35
My bike is a Trek Duel Sport 1
Thanks for any help

Re: Indoor wheels on bike trainer
Looks like I'll go for the Lifeline TT-02 fluid turbo trainer, its a good price and gets some good reviews and it will only be used around twice a week for the next three months in between getting out into the open air at least once a week (weather permitting)

Indoor wheels on bike trainer
Hi am new on here and have been looking at some of the posts in regard to indoor training units with some interest as I too am looking for a budget indoor trainer, but so far everyone I have looked at on Amazon is not in stock.
I have looked at all the budget trainers for wheels on system as I want to combine my outdoor bike work with indoor when the weather is bad
Does anybody know where I can obtain a machine with a budget of around £150
Thanks
