Re: bar width

Re: making a too-big bike more suitable for a smaller person

Josie an old dodge was to use old seat/pin saddle clip upside down.
That is, the clamp sits inside the saddle .
Will effectively lower saddle height at least 1".
I probably have old, posssibly a bit rusty in garage.
Yours for postage cost if you want to try this.

10mm. patch's

Just had a call from clubmate seeking small patch's. Tapered edge, CURE-C-CURE type. Up here on Tyneside it's appears to be the height of the hedgehacking season. So, of course, we are suffering thorny problems. Several, maybe 12years ago, at Semmaine Federal, I bought for €2 couple of sheets of 100...

Re: measuring chain wear

Thinking about changing your chain? You will need to eventually. Modern speed links are brilliant. So Knock a masonary nail or cut head off "wire" nail after you have knocked it into say, the garage doorframe. Must be horizontal!! Hang old chain and new chain on the nail. It is now very ea...

Re: How much is bike, how much is rider?

SPORTIFFFS are expensive! You might enjoy AUDAX. It's LEL next year see how you fare with that. But you might find yourself "getting mugged" by pensioners! What's the difference betweeen SPORTIFF and AUDAX? In a SPORTIFF the riders are pretending to race. In an AUDAX the riders are pretend...

Front fixed with cable tie; figure of 8 around mudguard stays.
Rear small bolts or locate under rear reflector.
