Re: Northern Spain from Santandar

Ta for the replies.

Do you have to book at the port or is it just turn up and hope? Can't find any sensible details on the Port website.

Not terribly keen of leaving the car down a side street for over a week.

Any thoughts?

Idiot Drvier

It never amazed me the dumb people allowed to drive. Yesterday morning on way to work said dumb person cut me up a treat. shot past me but immediately turn left into the Highcliffe golf club carpark. See him every morning in his pimped renault clio. How he did not see i do not know. 3 rear light and...

Re: Idiot youths in cars

I have come to the conclusion reporting these types of incidents to the police is a waste of time. Luckily though i do not get many incidents but it is usually numpties who i see time and time again. At least it is easy to exact the same to them.

Re: bike on top of each other

Its a joke! I would not lower myself to scratch their car as i can them claim on them for scratching my new bike. so is it still acceptable then even when using an old bike to expect it to be scratched?

bike on top of each other

It seems where I work quite acceptable to put bikes on top of each other. It does not matter a notice is up requesting people to be careful not to scratch the parked cars. Perhaps I should add a notice to tell the cretins who put their bikes on mine will have my bike lent against their car when they...

Re: Idiot Driver day?

i am aware i have reported a number of drivers so i do not expect much back but i have been wrong before. Perhaps i expect too much for all driver to be considerate, some are and some not. Had thought i should take a photo of the car and worry the driver and leave it at that. Really need to make my ...

Re: Idiot Driver day?

At what point do you report a driver for endangering your life with regards to the above incidents? Do you ever get concerned if you report these incidents that you will get a bad name? Numpty today but me up a treat going to play golf, spoke to him and he said he did nothing wrong, i totally disagr...

Re: We shall see - cars/ pavements

rbrian - it is a cycle/pavement combinatation so i have every right to be there; the cars parked there do not. You have made an assumption I damaged the car......... actually i did not as i would be no better than the knob with the car. We all bleat on about how useless the cycle paths are so what a...

We shall see - cars/ pavements

There is nothing like being smug in reporting cars parked totally on the pavement. We shall see if the council do anything but i do feel bad in squeezing too close to the car that has been parked there the last few days.

Really must get the registration and tax disc details.

I give up!

After what seems like an age dealing with the Council in various forms and the very helpful MP there is nothing they can do. The issue is cycle lanes in town where taxi and cars use them as parking spaces. They have all declared it is not "their" problem but i should call someone else etc....

Taxis

Are they a law unto their own? They have now take over the cycle lane in town as a new taxi rank. Is this normal working practise or it is against the law? I have come to the conclusion all cycle lanes are not to protect the cyclist, a waste of money and poorly maintained. In you are it may be great...

Re: My Faith in the [County] Council.

Good news. Council bloke rang to say he will look into the issue and bring it up at the next meeting. Just have to wait a few weeks to hear what’s been decided. At least there is movement so it is all positive.
