Re: Tier 4 exercise limits

And you can add in the fact that someone cycling is travelling faster than a walking or stationary pedestrian, so the breath is definitely faster, even if the cyclist were breathing normally. So if two people set off down a high street on a windless day, the pedestrian is going to leave more cgi-ne...

As I said, I was expecting to need to check it through myself, I was just wondering. Some manufacturers make PDI a requirement of their d...

Re: MTB with Hybrid tires??

My cross-gravel-adventure-touring bike has mountain bike wheels for no good reason and I run 700x32c Conti Gator Skins. Mind, I don't take it on the grass.

Re: Levelling up?

Government spent years doing little more for cycling than trying to help/persuade/exhort people to cycle on roads (travelsmart, travelplus, ...) that were being made more and more hostile both by design and usage. It does not work. I don't know that it has ever worked anywhere. Do you know anywhere...

I am overstating my case a bit - I really just don't like statements like the one below: Help combat the 'bikelash' by writing to your council to support more measures to enable walking and cycling. Which seem to accept the premise that inf...

Re: Levelling up?

... did it follow a growth in cycling and the resulting CTC-linked campaign? Well, scratch another one for cycling-before-infrastructure then. My point is that external forces (fuel crises, growth/decline in affluence, campaigns against road death in the Netherlands, etc.) have been the catalyst fo...

Re: Levelling up?

Not necessary before cycling but it is almost necessary before you will get mass cycling happening. Can you cite an example from history (any country is fine) in which an increase in cycle infrastructure caused a cycling boom? Rather than following it? The only one I can think of is the invention o...
