Talking of non-original Jaffa cakes... we get Cherry ones here (I *love* cherries), Strawberry ones too. However, we can also get Mint ones, and sorry but that's just plain *wrong*

Lots of reminiscing for me on the trip. Born in Hertford, lived in Rye House (Old Highway!), Bengeo and Hertford, school in Broxbourne (yeah - the grammar  ). Did a lot of cycling around the old haunts and oddly, everything was smaller, distances included! Great memories though and a wedge of ...

I would like to praise the one in Ware though, just over the crossing before you get to the river (for those old gits among you... opposite the old cinema :D) for being there when I was doing the Lea Navigation ride last year (three punctures inside 10 miles!). They had all I needed (since my pump ...

I'm in darkest Norfolk so we don;t even have shops, let alone bike shops anymore. I would like to praise the one in Ware though, just over the crossing before you get to the river (for those old gits among you... opposite the old cinema :D) for being there when I was doing the Lea Navigation ride la...

Keep your knobblies for "Winter" riding :D

I have a Winter set (with *huge* Tioga 2.5x2.3 beasties) and a Summer set (Schwalbe Road Cruisers) and I swear that when I swap them over I lose 2 inches! Not to mention the noise difference...

Not going to fit the XT though... which is what I wanted!

I suppose I could adapt another chainwheel, but it would have been nice to get one like the original - the more I look into it the more scared I am by the prices for replacements as well

Pity... the front derailleur coped OK with the 52T Biopace chainset I had before the XT stuff but that went on the Galaxy.

No matter, I'll have to swap the XT chainset for the Bontrager one I suppose... but that means getting an ISIS BB :(

Shimano chainwheels

OK, I have an XT chainset with these... http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr136/Ambermile/stuff/44chainwheel.jpg and I can only find 44T max. As I want to use the bike for a major tour this year, I want a larger (maybe 54+) chainwheel but have had no luck at all in finding one. Am I chasing purple ...

There is a poster in Leeds and Bradford 'International'   Airport saying 'Don't be a clown' threatening what happens to anybody who jokes about bombs in their luggage. The words are superimposed on a picture of a clown. I suppose anybody who does joke like that has been warned. On t...

OP issue is, I think, a warranty thing - it identifies buyer, date, address for any possible future claims. [1]

Personally, (on the info-farming issue), I pretty much always buy S/H anyway...

I think those are not issues likely to be hit by the OP since he wants a free talkboard-type setup only. The site I mentioned is simple, fast to get going and free to host. I *do* have another site - UK Astro Ads - which is not free, is hosted at web Mania, and is a bit more awkward to set up, but i...
