Re: Ribble
About two years ago, I bought a Ribble CGR Ti frame-set and recently decided to strip and rebuild it. I managed to lose the six alloy cable stop blocks that fix into the frame for the internal cabling. I emailed Ribble customer services and enquired if I could purchase a new set, and fully expected ...

Cycling Shoe repairs
Anyone know if its possible to have a pair of SPD compatible cyling shoes re-soled? I've got a pair I've had for years, the uppers are in good condition but the soles are shot. They are so comfortable, I'm reluctant to part with them. I know that it's possible to have Hiking boots re-soled but i'm u...

Re: Roof mounted racks ??? - Best choice
I've had a pair of Thule Proride 598 carriers for about two years, and I find them very secure. I regularly carry a pair of full suspension mountain bikes for quite a distance and have had no problems with the bars to date. As someone said earlier, they are good but expensive. My only gripe is that ...

Re: Cairn adventure
I read somewhere that they are planning to update the phone App to include 'tuning on the trail'. I wonder if that's it?

Re: Cairn adventure
I bought a Cairn Adventure a few months ago and totally agree! To be honest, when I first had the bike I thought it was uninspiring but I was wrongly comparing it with my Shimano powered MTB. But after I installed the new 'Black Pepper' software update... what a difference!! Now its my default go to...

Re: FSA Crown race
No, the original didn't have a seal either.
It does look very much like the original so I suppose for a few quid would be worth buying to see if it fits ok.
Thanks again,

FSA Crown race
Anyone know where I could pick up a crown race for an FSA Orbit IS-2 CC Headset? I believe the part number is 160-5530.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Re: Kinesis Decade Tripster
I think that may be an older model, and yes, those forks are so ugly.
I've e-mailed Kinesis and asked the question but haven't had a reply from them yet.
Anyway, thanks for your replies, and if I do get an answer from Kinesis, I'll post it here in case anyone else may be interested.

Kinesis Decade Tripster
Hi all,
Does anyone know where I may be able to source a Kinesis Decade Tripster Frameset? I've been looking but can only find the titanium (ATR) version stocked.
Thanks

Re: Dog walkers or horseriders?
When I ride off road, my dog usually comes along with me. She's better behaved than many of the other mountain bikers I come across. As for horses, our local stretch of the Sustrans route is absolutely covered in horse ****. Llandegla is a purpose built mountain bike centre, with trails specificall...

Re: Dog walkers or horseriders?
I've had to eat my words..... out for a spin today in between the showers, and had to physically stop three times on the local shared use path because of dogs running wild across the track in front of me; the owners really didn't give a damn, not one of them made the slightest attempt to control the...

Re: Commuter upgrades - mini vee brakes and tyres
I recently swopped the Shimano canti's on my crosscheck for a set of mini 'v's. i must admit there is a noticeable improvement in braking performance, but they where a right faff to set up. The required pad/rim clearance is close so rims need to run quite true.

First was a luvly blue and white Ridgeback 602...weighed half a ton but got me hooked. Second was ahhhh...a metalic green Rockhopper Comp, steel framed heaven. Third was the love of my life, well nearly, a 1995 Ridgeback Protrax. She's still in my shed today and used very often even though a lot of ...
