You should have bought the Trangia :)

Even if the brakes were working, I doubt very much that the kids hands have sufficient reach to use them the way the levers are set.

Actually, doesn't this open up a bit of a loophole? If there are particularly weak regulations approving a light, say (again for the sake of argument) in Poland then couldn't the same argument be made for Cunobelin's 1AAA battery mini-Maglite? In which case it would be legal to use that wouldn't it?

Only if said Maglite was approved in some part of the EU for said use.

I think :!:

You'll find lots of discussion about that in this thread

I think mostly that you can learn to accommodate any length of stem.

One of my smallish (3L) boxes had it's lid shattered on the corner and I've no idea how that happened but I suspect it wasn't hit as hard as it would be if a trailer flipped on it. This is only anecdotal, of course, and may not be representative of the RL boxes in general.

I can't see any 'extra strong' versions, can you give me a link?

Alastair K wrote:Sorry if this is a bit late Mick, but I've got one of these on my little CF and it's great. Made from the type of plastic that doesn't split or shatter, and with a pair of decent clips to keep the lid on. Haven't tried it in torrential rain, but it's fine and dry in normal English summer rain.
I hold it on the wooden bed with a decent bungee. If I was touring with it (and I might), I'd probably bolt it on.
Sorry, can't remember which size it is - I'll post a pic tomorrow.

I think you'll find the plastic used for these boxes is somewhat brittle. I have stacks of them I use for storage (in smaller sizes) and while they're tough enough for most things I've found the plastic can shatter if it's hit hard enough.

Also, they're not watertight, they'd allow road splashes to get in under the lid. Also, who wants to see your dirty smalls :)

150mm cranks and 250mm BB height gives you 5mm more pedal clearance than my Ridgeback. I don't think chainring clearance when dropping off a kerb would be an issue either but it would be best to check it on the drawing board before committing it to steel.

Just because you cut off one of your own appendages in a fit of pique is no reason to insult others. Take a chill pill and stop being so juvenile.

Just that. I like to have the libraries open so I can fix bugs and learn how the devices were programmed. Libraries (to me) are as much about learning as using. Closed libraries means I don't have that opportunity.

I spend all day working with projects containing 20million + lines of code, I'm absolutely made up when libraries just work and don't need me to fiddle with them.

(Not on PIC's I should mention  )

Unfortunately, all you need is a new die mask for a component and the library that worked yesterday doesn't work today. Different, of course, when accessing maths and graphics libraries but device drivers can be a b.... :)
