Re: CTC App ?

Apps! These things are just rejigs of the things we have been available on personal organisers for years and years. Most of them are an utter waste of time and in my experience eventually fall into disuse. I do hope the CTC doesn't waste our subs on such dross Al Grump, grump... My apologies, I kee...

Re: CTC App ?

I thought these apps were for actual functions like popping virtual bubblewrap, gps coords for dogging spots and suchlike, not newsletters? They have a facebook group if thats enough? I dont have an iphone so not an expert on these things. Nope, apps are for anything, maintenance videos, first aid,...

CTC App ?

I've recently discovered the joys of the 'smart phone' (iphone) and all it's cycling related goodies in the form of apps. There's everything you want, training apps, maintenance apps , the list is endless. So, I did a search for CTC .... no app  This would be a great opportunity for the CTC, al...

Re: Seen any good video's recently ?

I thought I recognised the roads in the Video! they are local to me too. So there I was this morning relating the story to my mate at work when what drives past down Heaton Lane in Stockport but a vehicle transporter with a railtrack flatback wagon on the back of it !!!! I assume a coincidence. or ...

Re: Legal Definition - contra-flow cycle lane.

This could also depend on who owns the land on which the van is standing. If it belongs to the owner of the shop then the council can't really stop him crossing the cycle lane to gain access without risking causing an obstruction He can cross the lane ... but he can't park on it and obstruct it, bu...

Re: Legal Definition - contra-flow cycle lane.

Yellow lines are about parking (& apply to footway as well as carriageway), but not loading & unloading. So I think the law is not helpful in this case. And solid white lines .......... You MUST NOT drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a solid white line during its times of operation.

Re: Seen any good video's recently ?

No need, I work for Network rail, I am also an RMT health and safety rep., I'll be pushing for this individual to have his railway driving licence removed and disciplined.

He was doing twice the speed limit, 2" from my right shoulder, absolute disgrace.

I did get somewhere with it ... the council have now reneged on the agreement and are now resorting to telling porky pies.

Re: Legal Definition - contra-flow cycle lane.

Thanks for that. The reason why I'm asking for the legal definition is because the local councillor I'm liaising with has just e-mailed me and reported that he has been told that the shopkeepers can load/unload in the cycle lane. I've just e-mailed him back and told him I thought that was total b/s ...

Legal Definition - contra-flow cycle lane.

Here's one for the legal minded. Can shop keepers unload/load on a contra-flow cycle lane that has double yellow lines and a solid white line to protect it ? I'm 99% certain they can't because if they did they would be forcing cyclists to break the law by having to cycle the wrong way down a one way...

Si has said your OP indicates that you knew the contract you were entering into but late you backtracked I knew I had seen the 28day delivery date and took it for granted that any decent supplier would have provided that information on the website, in fact the information was provided via a conform...

Re: Anyone else bought from impsport ?

Sorry to say this, but you do look like you are groping for excuses to complain about a company that is doing exactly what they said that they would do before you entered into a deal with them. It gave full warning of how long it could take to come - if you weren't happy with that why place an orde...
